Thinking of you, you must be worried sick. Keep positive and I hope he comes home soon. Cats can survive the cold and I am sure he could find all sorts of things to feed on. Keep looking and fingers crossed the posters and leaflets from petsearch may help.
(((hugs))) x0 -
Awwww.....thinking of you! What a horrible time. I had a cat go missing for 6 weeks before we got him back. He had collapsed on someone's doorstep and they had seen all my posters and called me.
Hope yours is a happy ending too....

Lilycat, keep your chin up! You really are doing the best you can for your kitty with your posters and leaflets. I am keeping my fingers crossed that your cat comes home pdq and certainly before Christmas.
Cats can be a bit funny eg a neighbour's plumber's cat went missing - then one day, eight years later they opened the back door and in walked their old moggy who sat there wondering where the hell his dinner was and why everyone was staring at him. Lilycat I hope it's not as long as that before your kitty returns!0 -
Thank-you so much everyone for your thoughts - you/re all so kind !
There is still no sign but I did get a call today from a lady who had seen one of my posters andlices about 1/2 a mile away - at the weekend her neighbour had asked her if she had changed her cats collar - when she said no the neigbour said she had seen a cat who looked like hers but with a red collar and tag - neither of them had seen this cat before!
I have been up there this evening and put some of my posters up just in case it was him

Awww Lilycat, how awful for you. Was hoping for some good news when I checked out this tonight!!
Still keeping my fingers crossed, I hope he turns up soon. Thinking of you. x0 -
Make sure you keep putting posters up and flyering so people don't forget about him, if you haven't already ask in shops and garages and local businesses if they'll put a poster up behind the counter.
Empty your hoover bag or put a blanket or piece of clothing of yours outside the back door as he may smell the strong scent of home. Also put a bowl of some strong smelling food outside the back door too.
Someone mentioned in another thread that if you know the local kids, to mention it to them as well because they'll be more likely to be playing outside, or playing in the fields and things and may spot him.
And remember that cats are hardy creatures, they have an amazing survival instinct so I'm sure he'll have found a little dry spot to hide in and shelter from the weather
Either that or he'll have found his way into someone's house who's taken pity on him and is looking after him until you can be reunited. Good luck and hope you find him soon
