    you mean next catalogue?

catalogues seem to have no logic, I had a decent starting limit with choice, brought something and paid it off in full before due date and was rewarded with a severely reduced limit which is still low to this day.

Well I've been with them about 5 months and have received one of those VIP invites to the sales! As mentioned I started on a limit of £300 and then it went up to £900, then back down to £300? I always thought that credit companies based it on how you used your account:confused:

I checked if I got a VIP invite. Nope. Nothing doing.

I don't like them any more. If I ever buy anything from Next again it will be by cash only which I suppose is a better way.

Lol this will amuse/frustrate you guys even more - I'm a 23-yr old student with no income and I have a credit limit with Next of £3,600! Started at £900 a couple of years back, was gradually upped to reach £4k but they dropped it to £2.5k last yr (because of the credit crunch I first thought) but then upped it back up to £3.6k.

This thread's really surprised me - up till now I imagined my limit to be a bit on the low side, as since I've got no income my other forms of credit are relatively limited (£2k overdraft and £500 credit card is all I have, tho to be fair did use to have more credit.) Seems ridiculous that Next are giving me more credit than my bank which I've been with for most of my life!!

Also what makes it stranger is I've never gone anywhere near maxxing out my credit with them - the biggest order I've done has been for £200, all paid off within 3 months. Orders under £100 (which is 95% of the time) are paid off that same month and incur no interest. If anything I thought I'd be the obvious candidate for a credit limit reduction. Still, not complaining :D

Well mine has gone to £0. After a number of emails asking them why as my circumstances haven't changed they still haven't given me an answer...acht well...
  • Has anyone closed an account with them? is it a straight forward process. I thought I'd been clever enough when I orderd my wii fit to click "don't set up and account and pay £4 postage", however I still ended up with a poxy credit account with them. So I'd like to get the account closed as soon as I've paid for the product.

I got an immediate £300 limit, looked at it the next day £19,200!! I mean that's a lot of y fronts!!
