Cancelling O2 contract

After 9 months, you can downgrade once each month.

Lowest is £15pm, shouldn't generally be allowed to move to any other tariff except iPhone, but some people would more than likely move you to any..

No they don't as we recently tried to do this and they said they can't (due to credit checks etc)

TBH you can be moved to a standard Online tariff without issue if you give them a decent enough story about changing from an iPhone to another phone.

I've done this for people within the first 9 months before (same price or more expensive, of course). There's nothing in the policy/processes AFAIK that prevented me from doing this.

I no longer work for O2 so this may have changed.

I had another thought this morning. O2 are passing back the 1st January VAT change onto their customers. A quick scan of the T&C's on their website doesn't go into a great deal of information about VAT so could this VAT change constitute a change to the T&C's thus providing a potential get out???

No, you pay a set amount + VAT. VAT is variable so can change, i.e. price is inclusive of VAT. If VAT changes so does the price. Mobile rental prices went down, so they will go back up.
