You can get a Modem/Router/WirelessAP from someone like dabs, ebuyer, insight, even ebay for about £40 to £50. Look for something like the Netgear or 3Com routers although there are many to choose from.
Broadband service will then cost you £10 to £15 per month, there's plenty of review sites eg https://www.broadbandwatchdog.co.uk but also adslguide.org.uk
I've used discountadsl.co.uk for 11.75 which works well.Tight fisted accountant since birth.0 -
I think I'm right in saying you need an ADSL "Ethernet" wireless router? (Definitely not USB).0

I've just left Telewest after they promised me internet at £18 but charged me £25 and then tried to force me to commit to this for 12 months.
I have a netgear wireless router - will I be able to use this with ADSL or will I have to buy a modem/wireless router?0 -
:j try play.com they have a good deal on at the moment you get a netgear rangemax firewall/modem/router and a usb dongle to match it for £99.99 just put in netgear in the play.com search ber and it'll bring them all up they have two offer's the router/usb or the router/laptop card hope this helps T also try ebuyer.com that's where I shop most of the time.

computerwoman wrote:that's the next one up from the one I've got now, at £85.00 inc del, if your going to folk out ace amount of money you might as well get it right, she does'nt need something that's going out of date, thats why I recommended play.com as that is where I am going to get mine from, rangemax is up to date and wont be out of date in 2 years when the warrantys up, T
Rubbish! Why do you think that it will be out of date in two years? If it does what is required now, it should still function perfectly well in two years time!
