I met up with someone I had talked to for ages online - we had met briefly a few years ago in my married days and he seemed quite a catch.
Started a relationship and it was like going out with my dad, he drove me absolutely barmy because he wanted me to be the little woman, with the brain of the little woman....just like he was in his posts on the forum.
So I have lowered my upper age limit for men to 45....50 year olds seem to be a completely different generation or I am just young in my outlook. :rotfl:
*I know not all 50 year old men will be the same but it also felt a bit too odd to be going out with someone with a grey beard and talking about retirement in a few yearsWe made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I've enjoyed plenty of your posts, and particular thanks to those of you who have responded to specific requests for opinions & help.
I go into a fairly busy period at work for the next couple of months so my time is a bit limited, but I doubt if I'm the only one who thinks this board is dying a slow death recently. Its getting a lot more difficult to filter the pearls of wisdom from the dross.
Apologies if I have missed anyone from this list - I will no doubt go back to the realms of 'lurkers' but may chip in again if things pick up.
Hopefully more 'Au revoir' than goodbye.
I am honoured to think that any of the drivel I post has any attention paid to it by anyone, so from the bottom of my heart a warm thanks to you kennyboy.
I'd reciprocate by advising that your posting is amongst the most insightful & succint. I always enjoy your contributions.
I hope to converse with you next year. I'm sure there will be a majority of us battling on.
Stay wellIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
