I'm just made up that someone actually put me on their list!

My posting will probably go down once we get into Feb, new course in my degree starts then but I will still be popping in from time to time when I need to get my brain thinking.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
  • I tend to lurk a bit, so I'm not surprised to be excluded in the roll-call but the real benefit of this board is to educate housing market via discussion/links.

and it works, if you use it properly and ignore the loons.

bye kenny. get back soon, mate.

I do agree with this. As a source of economic information this board is second to none, and I speak as someone who is particularly knowledgable on the subject. Of late though I have found myself taken in a bit by the loons of which you speak, who still seem to believe in ever lasting HPI.

Anyway I digress, on this the sad occasion of Kennyboys leaving. I don't know if anyone believes in deja vu but I feel a particular connection with kenny, as if he has given me great pleasure in a previous life. So although I didn't get a mention I must thank Kenny for the fun, and wish him well.

I will tell you a story which like all my stories is almost true.

I own a bit of land. It sits just outside the boundaries of the town I live in. I didn't do anything particularly clever to get it nor have I did anything particularly clever with it. It is just sort of there.

The land has been in my family, well not for centuries, but for a good thirty years or more. It was bought for a pittance and gifted to me on a whim.

I was c@ck a bliddy hoop. I was going to be loaded. Rich I tell you, filthy rich. Don't listen to what anyone tells you, no money is dirty.

Three years ago at just about the top of the market a builder approached me and offered me 500k for the land as it sat. With no planning permission and no immediate hope of any. Outside the town boundaries remember.

    Obviously I said no.

Recently I had the land valued (well not really valued as such, I have a friend who works in an estate agents). It is worth 80k if I got really lucky.

Don't believe all you read sweetheart. Talk is cheap and so it seems is land............

A slightly early Merry Chrismas & a Happy New Year to all 'sane' posters on here.

    I've particularly enjoyed the random opinions (in no particular order) of the following;

    Generali Pobby
    Thruglmir Purch
    StevieJ Chucky
    Really2 Graham Devon
    FC123 PasturesNew
    Vivatifosi Mr Mumble
    Sjaypink lostinrates

I've enjoyed plenty of your posts, and particular thanks to those of you who have responded to specific requests for opinions & help.

I go into a fairly busy period at work for the next couple of months so my time is a bit limited, but I doubt if I'm the only one who thinks this board is dying a slow death recently. Its getting a lot more difficult to filter the pearls of wisdom from the dross.

Apologies if I have missed anyone from this list - I will no doubt go back to the realms of 'lurkers' but may chip in again if things pick up.

Hopefully more 'Au revoir' than goodbye.
    I think....
