Merry Christmas & Au Revoir

A slightly early Merry Chrismas & a Happy New Year to all 'sane' posters on here.

I've particularly enjoyed the random opinions (in no particular order) of the following;

Generali Pobby
Thruglmir Purch
StevieJ Chucky
Really2 Graham Devon
FC123 PasturesNew
Vivatifosi Mr Mumble
Sjaypink lostinrates
Carolt Dopester
Edinvestor lemonjelly
wookster single sue
johnny bravo tomterm

plus those posters who added to the spirit of the place but no longer post (ad9898 and !!!!!!?, neverdespairgirl)

I've enjoyed plenty of your posts, and particular thanks to those of you who have responded to specific requests for opinions & help.

I go into a fairly busy period at work for the next couple of months so my time is a bit limited, but I doubt if I'm the only one who thinks this board is dying a slow death recently. Its getting a lot more difficult to filter the pearls of wisdom from the dross.

Apologies if I have missed anyone from this list - I will no doubt go back to the realms of 'lurkers' but may chip in again if things pick up.

Hopefully more 'Au revoir' than goodbye.

Give us an update at some point on your decision regarding your pension fund.

There'll be plenty to discuss in 2010 so there'll be some hardy souls left here to chew over the bones .....

I've been meaning to since Feb 2006. Never quite get around to it though.

A bientot Kenny (sorry, can't do french accents on my keyboard). Will be forever indebted to you for the excellent book suggestion, "Bloody Foreigners" was indeed a cracking read.

Is it not a question of getting round to it? As in, you have to make an effort to log on. Assuming you don't have it as your home page, it's not terribly difficult not to log on.

I'd still come to mse - other bits - frequently, as I use things like online shopping codes quite a bit. But there's no 'need' to step in here.

My favourite posters post less and less, and are being crowded out by drivel. Shame.

It would be a shame if this board closes down. My favourite posters are posting less and less and we do need new blood. But we do have two choices:

    1) let it die, with some of us decamping to Pastures' virtual place, or just plain getting a life..

    2) fight back, put the drivel on ignore and just get on with reading the good stuff.

People have good reason for doing the first one, but lets not all give up on the second. They already think we're all loonies here, so let's not let the uber loonies take over our asylum.
