lol, thinking about it their is an isolation screw thing in the loft on the pipe that my mate put on (hes a plumber) when he plumbed the pipe for me. But he hasnt been since, so maybe the isolation screw thing hasnt been turned on, but then again no water would come out at all would it? What indicator? The other shower is downstairs and works fine heats up etc. and turns off. The only thing is on this one if you can try to imagine... one the hot and cold dial it doesnt marry up with the red and blue (hot and cold) if you get me, like the downstairs one starts at 6 o clock and then you can spin it round clockwise to hot back to the 6 o clock. Thsi one sort of starts at 10 oclock and finishes at about 8 o clock. But surely this wont matter as it still spins round in the correct direction etc? Do you think i should take the face off and try to get it to marry up? Thanks0

The down stairs one will have 2 or 3 mtrs more water fall from its source which would at least double the pressure of upstairs..Not Again0

1 bar is about 30 feet, not many electric showers would work from a tank in the loft. It would have to be on a rising main. Certainly if the dials are out it won't help with the faultfinding, so it's worth fixing first, is the switch at the top in the right place?
All things being equal, starting at 10 and finishing at 8, would be about the same as 1 or 2 oclock on the good one, or number 7 on the dial, if there is a stop anywhere in the casing.0 -
Electric showers should ALWAYS be fed with cold mains.
As a matter of interest how have you achieved your Part P notification to your freindly local BCO in both cases?

The finished installation still has to be notified to the BCO under Part P if your sparks did the Edn 17 certificates he may also have take care of that. Best to check.

oh right, my spark just put the wire in ready for me to put the 3 wires in the holes. DOnt bits myself but didnt realise about that. Best ring him then to get him to come check it etc to be safe. Either way... if all thats ok which im sure it is... still need to get more pressure. What if I made the pipe in the loft go up higher towards the roof so the drop to the shower is longer, would that build pressure up?0
