I agree with Jon 01 it may be a tad too late...basically they will say they dont guarantee coverage as per the terms of all networks I unfortunately think you may be stuck with it. Saying that if you dont try you wont know so best of luck!!!0

You need to notify your network within the first 14 days you are unhappy with the signal coverage / quality. Or you are deemed to have accepted the service been provided.
Exceptions are were the signal has reduced significantly(rare) or been lost entirely(more likely) at the place you stated it would be used mostly when purchasing the contract, for personal phones this is generally the home address. In which case you would need to state you took out the contract and had a decent signal but this has since disappeared. They are allowed a reasonable time to repair any faults, however if it is permanent such as they removed a mast you should be allowed to cancel. They might ask for the phone to be return in order to cancel.
Other reasons to cancel are changes in T&C's but this isn't an option in your case.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Try looking in to the network settings of the phone
Change the network mode from DUAL to GSM
On nokias : Menu>steeings>phone>network>network mode
This may helpbaldly going on...0 -
That only turns the 3G off doesn't it and forces the handset to use a 2G (GSM) signal.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Yes. Maybe Baldelectrician's thinking is that there is generally much better 2G coverage than there is 3G, and the OP might be better off with a good 2G signal instead of a weak 3G signal. Certainly worth a try.0 -
Point well made

This may help
It's a Samsung. In my network settings I have Automatic, which it is currently configured to, and options of GSM 900/1800, GSM850/1900 or UMTS.
Would any of these make a difference?World Peace in 20100 -

Ok, it's all set. I'll see how it goes. Many thanks.World Peace in 20100

If the handset is set to automatic it will use a 3g signal aslong as it can find one, regardless of signal strength, so it will pick a poor 3g signal over a good 2 signal, often locking the handset to 2g will improve signal, let us know how you get on0
