Guys the site is under a lot of pressure. i hate writing this - i have invested many £10,000s to get it working and yet here we are again with it still slow.

It is deeply frustrating and now we have one of the prestige server companies and it still happens - we're working on it - but all i can say is bloody computers.

Thanks for the reply Martin, I could thank you, but I can't at the moment. To be honest I enjoy the site and the probs with the buttons and smilies won't stop me coming back. I do feel slightly sorry for those reading my posts as I can't do paragraphs! However, good luck in getting it sorted out for the masses!! Thanks Murtle x
  • Ok, I'm using a mac which is enabled as suggested and works fine except for thanks button which does nothing when pressed. I'm feeling pretty poop not being able to thank anyone for their help. Is there anything I can do to enable it?

A friend of mine popped over, asked to use my computer and gasped when he saw how many programs I had running, and I'm not the sort of person who downloads things without thought. Anyway he spent about half an hour deleting some unneccessary programs and now I am able to load all mse pages without errors and BELIEVE ME this hasn't happened for months. I am so chuffed. I just hope that my little bit of information might help someone else solve their problems. He unistalled my yahoo and google toolbars and a few other things which I said that I wasn't using and didn't know how they got there and hey presto! I'd hate to say that you just need to go to your Control Panel, Add or Remove programs and then see if there is anything you don't need and that it would work - I'd hate you to remove something vital for smooth running of your computer and I'm not the person to advise you. There must be someone out there to answer questions if you wanted to ask - there must be a forum for this. Anyway, I shall now enjoy using my thank you button and smilies :rotfl: :T to my friend! :D - me
