That browser test page tests various things and I don't believe that QuickTime has anything to do with this particular problem.
F5 or CTRL+R = Refresh the current Web page.
CTRL+F5 = Refresh the current Web page, even if the time stamp for the Web version and your locally stored version are the same.
HTH:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Thank you for explanation! The difference today is that I can click thanks - and it works, yesterday when I clicked thanks it threw me up to the top of the page! I can also see whose thanked who, but I can't add smilies by clicking on them still0

I've tried all that and no results yet. Buah.Thank you anyway. I'll guess one day it'll change - same as it did before.I should try to bribe the little guys that live inside the CPU. Do leprechauns like Mars ice cream?
And the change of line doesn't work either for my messages, I observe.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -
I have similar problems. Smilies, bold, underline, quote etc: nothing works. The small window fast version of editing doesn't work either. And since about two hours ago, the style sheet seems to be missing or wrong so that formatting is missing.
I deleted all Temp Internet Files, including the index.dat file and restarted the PC - no difference.
A message in the status bar says Done, but with errors on page - reading more shows that an object was expected.
I've been away for a couple of weeks; could my browser have gone wrong without being used?
edit - the style sheet is back, but the rest still doesn't work0 -
Hey all,
I was wondering whether any of you have switched off javascript on your browsers. Javascript is pretty integral to the more "advanced" features of the site, switching it off would almost certainly have an effect. Also those mentioning having no smilies on the "Posting Rules" section(bottom of the page on left), when you are logged in does this say Smilies are On?

I've got Java on all the time. Other sites with java applications work properly on my screen, it's only here that I have the problem.By the way, today I have the tidy-looking lists on again. Still no thanks option. I haven't tried the smilies.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0

Can I confirm that the thanks button doesnt appear on any posts? when you have thanked a user you can no longer thank them again for that post so the thanks button is removed

There are a couple of users in OS who have problems with paragraphing etc but I know at least one logs in from work so it could be this Java problem.0

Nah, nothing to do with Java. Neil, I DO have the thanks button, but it's like disabled. It simply points to the top of the page. I see the smilies on the right of the screen as well, but when I click on them nothing happens. And now that I notice, the toolbar for the message doesnt work either - none of the buttons.
To make another paragraph I must use some html, as I've just done with this sentence.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0
