            It happens all over.
Usually within driving distance of a mosque...

eeerrrmmm crashes is a very very hard case in itself, we all know or are aware that people do smash there brake's in order to make a successful claim on the third party's insurance....however sometimes it seems like this but isnt true and its very hard to prove...the best thing to do is to call police to the scene maybe some cctv evidence maybe available....
Apart from this the injury side should not matter to you at the end of the day if a claim is made against you, no matter whats paid out it will still count as one fault accident....So if you also claim it will make no difference. Also injury's can be occurred even at very small speed collisions and you cannot dispute someones pain which they have suffered. Also at the point of accident people do get very worked up and can think they are hurt but may not be. However at the point of a accident its best to stay calm and never get into arguments because what you think believe will not matter much, insurance's will decide on liability and go from there.
As for the damages on the vehicle, take pictures of the persons can and your own and the accident area, call the police, get all witness details and leave it at that. This will insure TP will not cause more damage to the car once he has left the scene of accident. Also police will make sure the other person is fully covered and is allowed to drive the car, check cctv an also take a list of passengers. This way TP will not try to claim for people who were not in the car.
I hope this helps, however if you hit someone in the back no matter what the reason, you will probably be faulty and your insurance will accept liability on your behalf even if your not happy.0 -

It is on a loop, so records say 30 secs at a time, if any collision is detected it will save the recording. Very effective
Cost of these is £300, if I lived in London area, I would certainly have one but if this sort of thing happens all over the country then maybe worth a purchase.0 -

if the person in the car the op went into had done the same as the person in the daily star article and rigged his lights not to come on, then it would prove at the very least that it was probably not the op`s fault as no lights came on to warn her that the car in front was braking, irrelevant of how close to the car the op was, also proves the third party is driving the car illegallyTake every day as it comes!!0 -
The Op is at fault here. You should always leave room to stop, whether the emergency stop by the driver ahead is necessary or not.0

What if the brake lights on the car in front were deliberately not working? Even if you keep a safe stopping distance it can take a few crucial extra seconds to notice the car is stopping, especially if the car brakes suddenly. I don't think we should be so quick to preach to the OP without knowing all the facts.0
