    yes, it's called "scam baiting". There are several websites where you can follow the sometimes hilarious exchange of emails between the baiter and the baited. here is one example:-

    Another twist on the old scam. Evidently the UN Security Council have had a special meeting and decided that I am suffering from poverty and have decided to do something about it. How very kind! You would think they could employ a better class of secretary at the UN:-

    I too have had similar correspondence with scammers....... its very funny to wind them up!

    Reading some of the stories from the 419eater...... and the one where the businessman was shot, he had the name of Mr Max. N. Paddy...... oh my days!

    Just replying now to a scammer who is offering me a "universaty deploma" and yes it was spelt like that. Who the fudge advertises a university diploma but then spells it all wrong?

    Ha ha ha - so funny. But annoyed that I could not read whole story without signing up to some fan group!

    I actually used to live within a mile of where the goods were being delivered!
