I'm afraid that if the discrepancy between the two figures is the only thing that stopped you from being taken in then your a blazin' !!!!!!. I could tell from the SUBJECT LINE that this was a scam. The line "FROM OFFICE OF THE WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER." may as well read as a flashing neon scam alert. :)

And yes, I know you're joking about nearly being taken in... I hope! But there are thick people out there who do fall for these scams, somehow, and the above applies to them!

  • Anything that says Nigeria and Lottery in the same email always rings the scam alarm bells for me and is instantly deleted
    Comping again
  • Of course, the UK lottery operates out of Lagos, Nigeria - we all know that.

    "very convincing beware"

sigh...people who are convincing by these sort of emails shouldn't be allowed either near a computer or to have control of their finances...
