Need some help making a decision

I know this is a decision I have to make on my own but I guess I want to just get some input from others, this is kind of debt related but feel free to move the post if needed.
Last year I hit a low and I found God, I attended church on a pretty regular basis but that's slowly stopped because I have two jobs and I'm working seven days a week. I feel like I'm letting myself down by not attending and I'm thinking of leaving my weekend job. At the same time I keep thinking that it will mean been in debt a little longer but I feel a stronger relation with a fellowship and God will be worth more than £50 a week.
I guess my main concern is a silly one, most of my friends are atheists which is true of most people in my age group and I don't want to lie about leaving my part-time job because I felt it was hindering my ability to grow as a person. Still I do get odd looks when I tell people im thinking of leaving a job so I can be closer to God.
Am I just been silly?

You need to do what feels right for you - I don't know which particular branch of church you attend but some do services on days other than Sunday. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0

Unfortunately my branch which is Evangelic only do a Sunday service which I can attend, I go with another family as its not a local service.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650

i felt when reading your post, the answer just jumping out at me,
do what feels right for you and you know already what that is.
edit , dont think that makes sense, but i think youll know what i meant :-)0 -
Go for it if it will make you feel happier about life and the universe..could you compensate for the income that you would lose by doing something else...not sure what exactly, anyone have any ideas? Kleeneze etc?Proud to be dealing with my debts!

I think that deep down you know what you want or feel you need to do. It can be hard for other people to understand your situation but if they are your friends they will not judge and will respect you for your choices.
Good luck x0 -
debt is only temporary, love of God is for eternity

You don't have to go to church on sundays to have a close relationship with God
I meet up with other Christians during the week, in the evening.
I just wanted you to know that, in case you feel guilty not going to church every week. I'm probably totally wrong about the guilt thing, I just felt I should say it. Just in case
OK I'm going now

You always have to do what is right for you and one thing i have always found is that when you follow your heart and soul then you will find other options appear to you.Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

No Troo your spot on, I feel its like I only go when I can make time and it shouldn't be like that God always has time for me.
I understand I don't need to go to church on Sundays but it also helps me socialise with friends and build strong relationships with people who dont judge me for loving God.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650
