Electric Gardens seems to be Kent's lame attempt at a festival http://www.contactmusic.com/new/home.nsf/webpages/electricgardensx11x05x06
No festival is lame when the beautiful Tim Burgess is going to be there. Never mind Josh Homme and Johnny "the gob" Borrell, give me Tim Burgess or Julian Casablancas anyday.
Btw, there's only one place that's worse than the Medway towns, and that's Dover (I used to work there, believe me, I know). At least in Chatham they've got the Tap 'n' Tin where one might have spotted the lovely Tim Burgess......Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96

I could get on board with Julian, but I'd never give up Josh. Mmmmm. I was offered a ticket to see The Charlatans in Folkestone, but I said no. Don't throw things at me
I've had to go to Dover a few times for work, it's a complete hole. I don't really know what counts as medway to be honest, my Kent knowledge is shocking! Although thanks to MSE I know that Chatham is Medway :rotfl:DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

ahhhh yes the Tap N Tin is its saving grace but when you're up against serious dives like Amadeus, the Casino rooms, Wetherspoons in Rochester, The Star...............
It's just all too much for me.............. so glad I moved out before the big gold earrings got hold of me!
Medway consists of Chatham,Gillingham,Rainham,Rochester and Strood! And when people tell you Rochester isnt Medway, they're lying they're just the one's who only claim one benefits as opposed to most in the other areas, who claim about 6 different benefits and three times over too!
Now enough of the hell holes of Kent!
Still not going to the Festival then? Even for all the man candy?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Nope, probably not. Shouldn't spend the money on it, and none of my friends want to go as they're all into rnb nonsense and the like. I'm going to see the Kooks in august tho, so I'll get my fill of musicDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

Blah, feeling a bit moody today, for absolutely no reason. Think I'm just bored! Even resorted to some exercise earlier!
Remembered my free tesco download voucher, so off I went and downloaded a song. Then spent 10 minutes trying to transfer it to my mp3 player and it won't let me. Rubbish!
Checked my Quidco account, and I've got almost £60 due to be paid in august, wooh. Also, registered with a gambling site via quidco last night, deposited £10, withdrew £50 half an hour later after a splash of Roulette :T I'll get £30 for that with Quidco too, so I'm £70 up there. Not bad!
So tempted to use it to go visit my friends up north, but I'll use it for something useful instead. That's the annoying thing about moving away to uni then moving back - hardly any of my friends live here anymore so I never *do* anything. ahhhhhhhh join the hermit club!
You did really well with the sites! I'm impressed.Pay it off your debts and keep £10 and get yourself a treat!
Pay £50 off credit card, and then save the other £10 into a pot and save up to go and see your friends, that way you'll look forward to it even more, and you'll get a chance to save up and then it won't really be spending your money!
Everyone deserves a little treat every once in a while to break up the monotony!
Question how the hell does Quidco work?I'm signed up to it but just dont make any money at all!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I quite like the idea of having a moneypot for trips etc. I guess it can't be too hard to shove a note into it every now and again. Like you say, if it's not officially coming out of my budget when I go away I'm not spending anything!
I'm very much a quidco novice, only discovered it through this site. Sign up to all the free stuff, get a quote here and there, signed up to the gamling site etc etc. Seems to add up a bit if you only use it for things you would buy anyway. Keep having to remind myself not to get things I don't need just to get the cashback! But I'm the same with pigsback there too, again discovered through mse :TDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls
