On my gosh, I'm so glad that week is over! Work-wise it was good, but a week of 35C plus heat in my lab and office has made me soooooooo tired!

Finished the second draft of the manual/procedure thing I was writing and gave it to my boss. Hopefully he likes it and we'll bring it in as policy. Won't really make a huge difference initially, but there are some changes in there to make life easier. Rather cynically I've done it partly because it's gonna look ace on my CV! This whole job so far is gonna give it a big glow, which makes a change from my temping mediocrity! I'm quite proud of it anyway, even bought a shiny purple display folder for it! I'll get that back off him btw

Brother came round today and gave me back £40 he owed me :T He's owed me that since christmas so it was a bit of a shock to get it back, he's useless with that kind of thing usually! Payday this week and I've still got money in the bank. By money, I mean about £8... but hey, it counts! So that £48 will go into my savings once I've been paid, earmarked for a final payment in a few months with any extra money I can shove in there. Got a debt with a low balance, itching to get rid!

Did you sneak in 'And as standard procedure Ms Pickle will be given a 100% payrise every month starting now' intot he manual aswell?

Congrats on the payback - I'm owed £50 by a mate and am trying to workout the best way to ask for it back, esp. as she keeps going on about how skint she is.

No, I thought I'd put that in the final copy where he has less chance of noticing it til it's agreed


It's always difficult asking for money back isn't it? Try and mention it casually maybe at first, saying how useful it'd be right now or something

Oh man, rubbish rubbish day! Argh!

1. My bag broke! I don't have another, so gonna have to buy a new one. I'll go for a cheapy one, but there are certain fabrics I can't stand the feel of, so I'll have to shop around

2. My favourite trainers that I wear everyday for work have got holes in that I only noticed this morning

3. My mp3 player broke! I love that thing, use it for hours everyday and now it's dead It's just out of warranty too (aren't they always?!) and I can't justify spending out on another one. I don't have a cd player or minidisc player anymore.

4. I'm switching to Orang payg from O2 payg and I can't find the sim card that I got free! Argh! I'm not paying for another one so I'm gonna have to turn the house upside down to find it. I put it aside til payday so I could register it and buy some credit, but I can't remember where 'aside' is :mad:

5. Due to the utter stupidity and incompetence of some people at work I had to get through 3 days worth of jobs today :mad: :mad: :mad:

I'm about ready to snap.... I don't want to spend money on stupid things like bags and shoes, I want to pay extra to hit my target! Argh! PAH!

Look for other mp3 players. They are miles cheaper than a year ago. You should look on the bright side. At least you've got some wear out of them. Better than having them stuck away where you aren't able to use them.

Yeah, I'll have a look on ebay I suppose. But mine was so pretty and shiny... It'll be fun reloading 11000 tracks, keep me busy for a week or so!

I'll ignore that It wasn't deliberate laziness. One person just put something very vital in a place it really shouldn't have gone yesterday, other person didn't know it had arrived and spent the day doing nothing. So I had to do it all today. I really shouldn't have days off... I was bouncing round like turbo pacman on speed
