When I spoke to the council they did confim that I can park there but at my own risk. This is the way I see it, If I want a kitchen extension done to my house I have to apply for the necessary planning permission by paying the appropiate fees that goes with submitting an application, why should they get away with not paying the fees, they are the ones that are taking the !!!! not me.

Man, I'd laugh if you got cited in court for Aiding and Abetting an illegal car park, illegal invoicing and tax avoidance.

what the !!!! your talking about illegal invoicing and tax avoidance, I pay all my taxes to house and feed all the bummers in this country for your information not that I want to but I do. in addition i'm not going to put in a false claim i was talking generally.

I'd speak to the planning department again, and get their advice in writing!

I really can't see a planning officer giving you permission to flout town and country planning legislation, especially when they have gone to the trouble and expense of informing you already about the situation.

You said it yourself OP, the car park is illegal, the council have also told you this, what more do you want?

Going on what you have said, the owners should not be operating as a car park, and you should not be parking there if you have been told that it is illegal.

If the car park is illegal they won't have any insurance or anything should you "trip", your car is left at your own risk, which is the case in the majority of car parks anyway.

If you have problems getting to and from work, you could try public transport?

I'm going to stamp my feet until I get the answers I want. Thought about growing up? This is a discussion forum and it's not for you to control replies to suit your own circumstances.

What would you do if you returned to find your car blocked in by three skips?
