I might go for the same deal for the same price with a newish phone, than resell it on amazon or ebay, or go for a cheaper deal with an oldish phone and do the same. That's what I've been doing for years, always getting around £150 for the phone as an extra. I think this is a more likely option as i really want to pay back loan by end of April (yes, already hoping to beat end of May just to keep up with you!).

Hello! sorry been AWOL this week, didnt have much to report but have now paid a further £55 off virgin :)

All my ebay stuff ends tomoro and with lots of watchers and bids im currently up to £15 with a day to go but as i say, lots of watchers!

Went food shopping thurs nite as lots of snow forecast here this weekend and they werent lying! bout an inch in the last hour with more tonite and tomoro! anyway bk to food shopping, i had a list for stuff for the week which totaled £12.50, OH comes with me and end up spending £35! typical! we need tins on coke in the fridge to survive apparently hahah :rotfl:

An update on the neck front also, was making really good progress the last few weeks, really improved, right side almost back to normal, then yesterday morning it locked up on the left. cudnt walk for a bit at all as the pain was too much, cudnt move to the left or tilt my head. was in agony, then it eased enuf to make it to work (physios nr work anyway!) made a physio appointment and was lucky to be seen almost straight away. eased it a bit but after a restless nite last nite its all bk to how it was yesterday morning :( mega hurts particularly in the car (not me driving btw - cant drive with this pain).

i have another physio appointment on tues (which i nearly cancelled coz thought i didnt need it ) and then my independant medical for my claim on wednesday so at least thats all now while im suffering so they dont think im fibbing !!!

How r u doing Kavics? hows the debt busting? u still got loads of snow?

  • Hi Keza, I'm sorry that your injuries are playing up again - fingers crossed this new neck pain on the left goes away soon. I hope the wedding preperations are coming on well, I had a big wedding spurt over the last couple of days and have done quite a bit :) I hope your ebay watchers turn into ebay bidders.

Hiya! wedding planning is coming along nicely. i think we have finally agreed on whos coming to the day time and whos not lol :p

Also we have BOOKED OUR HONEYMOON! :j im so so excited! more excited about that at the moment than i am about the actual wedding lol!!

We are going to the Maldives for 14 nights, all inclusive and we are going to stay at Vilu Reef Resort and Spa.

It looks amazing and has some fab reviews on trip advisor! we didnt fancy any of the other islands - and we;ve looked at quite a few! so im very happy!

Neck has slightly improved today. bit more range of movement althou not fully just yet. still hurts to brush my hair with my left arm. still, big week this week. physio and independant medical for my claim so i will report how that goes. dont like the idea of proving myself to have these hideous injuries bombarding me everyday but i spose thats due to the fraudsters out there that have made it difficult for those of us who do have it. :(

    xx

    Hi Keza,
Sorry for the pain, hopefully it will go away soon.
Well done on booking the honeymooon, when are you going? Maldives sounds lovely, 2 weeks even lovelier:)
I know what you mean about shopping with OH, went to tEsco's yesterday and spent £48:eek:. I tried to cut it back but we ended up buying washing liquid and chopped tomatoes in bulk, plus OH wanted bits and bobs, we're not doing very well this month!

Moneywise we're doing ok,not very well. Just spent £150 on 3 mobile phones to get the extra clubcards,if we can resell them on ebay even with a £10 loss, it would mean we got 2 plane tickets for my brother's wedding in July for around £30-£40 using our airmiles? Making sense? We shall see, I'm not 100% convinced yet.

So how many people are going for the wedding? Well, better get ready, need to get to work today:o

Hiya, struggling today, on a bit of a downer. A lot of people asking me on outings and as usual I'm having to say no I cant and its starting to get to me.

On of these outings was to see a musical with the girls at work. I already don’t have nay friends here and have just blown my chances of getting to know them again as I cant afford one of their expensive nites out (includes dinner, drinks AND the musical and prob taxis to the event etc) then my closer friends out of work no that I'm trying to clear my debt and save for my wedding yet they are still badgering me and making me feel guilty bout not wanting to borrow £20 off my parents or OH to just go and get drunk.

I already cant justify spending silly amounts on money on drinking coz it just gives u a headache anyway! I can have a good time without drinkin.

I feel like everyones talking about me and that I'm not getting anywhere fast. Part of me just wants to plod along like I used to coz at least I still had a life. But if I do that I can wave goodbye to any 2nd honeymoon in 2011 L just really feeling the strain of debt and January! Theres lots of nice things I want like the boots protect and perfect serum and benefit foundation (I have actually run out !) yet I'm still telling myself no. not yet. U can get by. Its so hard and frustrating!

Sorry for the rant, just having a down day which luckily are few and far between. Maybe when I get my money from Barclaycard things will pick up.

    Hey Keza,

Rant is ok, I know what you mean. But look at the bright side of all these things, as soon as you pay back your loan you have a lovely wedding to look forward, not to mention the honeymoon. And as you said, maybe a second honeymoon? I know it can be hard not going out with the girls but will get easier. Whenever they ask me, I always say no as in the pub they always insist one person buying one round, than the next one and next one. This doesn't really go well with me,as I usually end up drinking for about a fiver a night but for them it's only £5 per round. So it's a no, if I want to see them, I just bake a nice cake and invite them over. One of my friends accused me over Xmas that I always meet her at my home rather than going out, but than I just said I couldn't afford her nights out so get on with it.

About workmates, well, do you really want to be friends with your collegues? Maybe it's all for the best if you keep it professional? I don't know, just trying to help you. But pls cheer up,how many days till DFD? Nearly there!

I agree with kavics, I used to feel pressured into going on nights out or lunches where certain people would have 3 courses, others only 1 or 2 but the bill would be split evenly, eh who are the mugs here?! A woman I worked with NEVER went to nights out, she got on well with everyone, just wanted to spend time with her hubby and kids, as she said 'I see them everyday, why would I go out with them too'!

Oh and all those people buying stuff and having nights out, up to their eyes in debt but haven't found this site yet, ha!

ETA: I now work with loads of guys who don't really do nights out except a lunch at Christmas, ah bliss for not having to bother with invites - and most of those girls I worked with I don't even hear from, do I care, no way!
