Hi Keza:hello:,
Gym is not MSE at all but it's all for the best:). I pay for it as well, and I love doing classes, doing 4 a week, there are things you mustn't save on-for me it's the gym. I tried to do the weekend membership thingy and run in the park over the summer but did not enjoy it at all. I just bought a body analyzer scale in Argos, and I'm 9lbs away from where I want to be. YUK! Need to cut back on food!
'Date a month' sounds lovely, what's the plan for this month? I suggested my OH to go out for dinner but he turned me down:rolleyes:, though I got £100 voucher to a lovely restaurant in Battersea from one of my bosses for my birthday, so it would be very MSE. He wants to keep it till our wedding (thinking about a register office wedding in May just for the 2 of us and church one next year), I'm not really sure.

yeah im actually really looking forward to it. i have been advised by physio to join the gym to get my muscles in my neck strong and relaxed again so its defo for the best! think im going to go 3-4 times a week.

We are just going to prezzos i think for their £10 menu deal. its an evening out to appreciate each other and enjoy each others company! xxxCurrent Mortgage balance - £363,785.35/£420,000 (highest point Oct 2022).0 -
Hiya all! Ok ive cleared out my Natwest account (except the overdraft which is still intact!
) and I have £20 left in my A&L account. Oh and £3 in my purse (which is likely to be my PAD for the next 3 days!).
I transferred the odd shrapnel from my Natwest account into my Virtual savings account, the grand amount of £2.26, making my natwest VSP now almost £9 haha !
I might even PAD the final £20 that’s in my A&L account come Sunday but we’ll see. I might need that next month. Might put it in my pot at home (which I might add now has £23 in it.) so I can get to it if I need it. I feel in control but not comfortable still. The next month is still going to be getting by by the skin of my teeth and I really want that to change.
On a good note thou, come payday, I will be caining £665 off my OH granddad loan and another £550 off the virgin card. I'm so excited for Monday only to be skint again by Tuesday haha! Still, as needs must and all that!! I secretly more looking forward to updating my signature
At least the monthly shop is done and we just need to buy any fresh meat and milk etc so I cant see us going over £10 a week for shopping.
I can already see that feb and march paydays are going to be mega difficult! Roll on April I say! xxxCurrent Mortgage balance - £363,785.35/£420,000 (highest point Oct 2022).0 -
Well done on Natwest account! And welcome to the world of the Me, I've about £80 to go till the end of the month:eek: (should be enough? We shall see). April is not far away Keza, it's gonna be so good being debt free, you will see:). Right, better go and finish this :lipsrseal assignment at lunch time...0

Progress is slowly but surely being made! I'm so so happy I have made it to Jan payday at long last!
Its has def been the longest hardest month yet, and I have a feeling the next 4 weeks will also take its toll!
£300 paid off virgin today plus another £100 over the weekend. Will have another £150 to pay off aswell once the bank balances have settled.
£180 paid off aqua which I have been using for various things, inc some concert tickets (a girls got to have some luxurys!)
£665 paid to OH granddad for the money he lent me to pay off my loan interest free!
So good progress ! I plan on keeping up PAD’ding with my change and adding to my sealed pot and VSP aswell.xxxCurrent Mortgage balance - £363,785.35/£420,000 (highest point Oct 2022).0 -
Hi Keza,
You're back!Well done on paying the debts, not much left I guess!
What kind of concert tickets did you get? You need to treat yourself every now and than otherwise you get fed up (i'm getting!!!). I'll be under a £1000 with my debt this month once I receive my salary, just can't wait!!!0 -
Hiya!
I treated myself to tickets to see JLS! Love them. I bop along to them on my ipod on my way to work!
I'm feeling quite positive today. I think I'm going to withdraw £20 this afternoon and that will be my allowance for outings for the month (haven’t got a great deal on to be honest so shouldn’t be too difficult). I think this month might go quick as got the gym to go to now and no doubt, before long, it will be payday again and I will be another step there!
OH taking me out tomoro night for a meal so looking forward to that aswell, then Friday night I'm catching up with my girl friends – cheap as chips night we call it. No more than £10 to be spent on food and wine and we all catch up and have a giggle.

Had a rant on the PAD thread about an ebay seller deciding not to send me my item as the bid wasn’t high enough! They sent me a sarcky email and refunded me without me having a say. Oh well, guess I shud be grateful I even got my money back! I will report them for good measure! They cant just go around doing that. Looks like they’ve done it before – their feedback is 94.1%!!
Got a letter through last night confirming I can cash my child endowment which is worth £1200. so well pleased with that. Another lump off the loan from Grandad to be!
Bank balances are settling. Withdrew my ‘play’ money last nite for my little outings for the month. A tiny £20! But as needs must and all that! Wont be long till payday is here again! So Natwest account is unfortunately £50 overdrawn but that’s ok. I will replace that when I'm debt free. I was expecting it to be about that!
The cravats came last night and I LOVE the four colors together! They are beautiful and so different!!! I'm so excited! The Tealight holders for the tables came last night aswell, 48 of them! So did the direction leaflets for the venue so I will fold them tonite or tomoro and get them ready to go into the invite envelopes!xxx
