  • It's gotta be BSkyB. Without them the more sport would be available on free-to-air TV.

Their business model relies on people outbidding each other for something they would otherwise get for free!
  • I voted for tescos but really I could have voted for a number of them, especially the Daily Mail and the Sun.

But I agree with the posters here that I wouldn't close any of them. Even that most insidious of organs, the Daily Mail, has people relying on it for employement, many of whom do not share its disgusting views.

(yes, disgusting! just read Jan Moir on Stephen Gately)
  • I voted for Tesco, because on a local level they're currently the most arrogant and damaging, and, in common with their rivals, they have their gubby fingers in lots of the dirty pies that the others feast on .

It a shame that we can't vote for more than one company on this sorry list - it would have been easier to pick the few I wouldn't get rid of.

Nice to see the contemptible Scum and the Daily Fascist getting a good kicking! I didn't notice them until after I voted for Fiasco.

And hands off the Post Office, they're one of the few on the list that actually provide a valuable service. I have friends who're post men (and women), they're certainly not lazy and it would be interesting to know what the people here who've condemned them do for a living.

Oh and in answer to some of the champions of Tesco who've posted here desperate to defend their beloved store: voting against Tesco is certainly NOT a vote for ASBO! Oops, I mean ASDA

The Daily Heil without a shadow of a doubt.

The Sun I can accept it for what it is. It doesn't present itself as something other than what it is.

The Daily Fail on the other hand is an utterly disgusting homophobic, xenophobic, jingoistic rag that shamelessly panders to the prejudices of it's narrow-minded audience.

Without BSkyB, sport in the UK would be in an absolute state compared to what it is at the moment.

  • A previous poster said only morons buy The Sun. Interesting. Would they be the same morons that were responsible for the millions collected for Help The Heroes? The same morons responsible for the millions collected for the childrens charities campaign? The same morons partly responsible for the bringing down of the insidious Sharon Shoesmith, by signing the online petition? Get a grip people, what a waste of a vote. How can anyone vote for ANY newspaper when there are far worthier candidates. You don't have to buy a newspaper, it's not compulsory. Try living without gas, electric, water, banks or to a large degree telephones and supermarkets. As I said earlier get a grip people, don't waste your vote on tomorrow's fish and chip wrapper, use it for something much more important.

I dont think joking about the disgraceful reporting and insults directed at the friends and families of the 96 people who lost their life THE DAY AFTER THE EVENT is comparable to anything.

The pole didnt say it had to be consumer related, although the main aim of this site and subsequent forums are consumer related, so people should be allowed to vote however they want regardless of reason.

Out of the 50 companies I've had issues with 2 companies and due to my "bitter scouser" heritage obviously dislike that paper. I voted for the one I would close, simple as that.

On a side note, Martin and his team (if he has one :A ) does a hell of a lot of research before sending out the various emails/info about how to improve your finances and educate yourself on finances generally. In regards to "The Truth" opinions, but as a general rule, i'd suggest posters should do the same instead of perpatrating unfoundered opinions based on personal biases.

The story that contributed so much pain and misery to grieving families was aimed at LIVERPOOL SUPPORTERS not all scousers, or football fans, nor those of working class or labour supporters, or even other sports fans such as rugby or cricket all of whom I know still, even though not personally affected, dont buy the paper due to its reprehendable sensationalism and lies during such a tragic event.

Some quotes from a liverpool forum:
Ive just set up a macro to keep voting for me....

5 votes from me (so far)
Ok so if you go to the main link you can vote again without clearing cookies and all.
Such a hard choice...Voted and will make a point of voting until the poll closes.

People repeatedly casting multiple votes, even one setting up an automated process? I challenge anyone to explain how that can still be a truly fair vote.
