eastwell manor is under £1000 for a week day wedding and they will do an afternoon tea for £13 pp if you dont want sit down meal - this is the same price as they charge for non weddings so i think its very good price!

edit - dont try there as rubbish!

if anyone else knows of any bargains please let me know weve been looking for something for about 2 years now! we are in kent and after going through eloping etc etc decided we just want something close to home for about 4 hours and then will leave on honeymoon. want it to be outside only small number of guests nothing traditional (ie no top table or speeches) mid week completely non wedding feel more like a picnic and garden party but cant find anything we want. my budget is supposed to be £1000 and then a bit extra for photos and dress if need be but still not found anything

its ok Ive been looking for us forever! I live in Kent but not from here so Ive been looking all over the country and cant find anything non traditional that we like that we can afford :o my weird ideas and lack of money are the issues :) where in kent are you? The secret garden does do weekend weddings too and its £500 for the venue charge then so might still be possible with your budget (it is possible the venue charge is only if you want the ceremony there).
  • we are in herne bay how about you? i take it your around ashford as your looking at eastwell manor and the secret gardens :)

have you looked at the holiday inn they have a nice looking one some where in ashford it has old looking beams and things like that and do weddings for a grand, two grand , and three grand :)
  • o how about the east quay in whitstable you can have a bbq and ice cream which is a bit different that was our first choice :) x
