You don't need a paper contract. A verbal contract has exactly the same legal validity. The important thing is that you can back up your claim of what they offered initially with dates, times, names etc.
Ask to speak to Sky 2nd line support, as the first line will not have any authority for what need to get.

If you mean their Tech Support,then they have no power either (or they did'nt when I worked for them)
We used to get this all the time in Tier 2/Tier3,

"The salesman said we could get this XXX service/speed"
"Sorry,you're line can only handle 512Kbps"
"But I'm on the Max Pack!".....

Salesman wil tell you anything to get the sale,the bigger the package,the more commision.

Not yet cancelled, I have until this evening to cancel with no further costs.

My line can't take more than 2Mbps anyway, so no point in going for anything more expensive.

Is that 2Mpbs from Sky or other ISP's? What does it say for your exchange in Samknows?
