Alert - New Bt Prices On The Way!

Just got off the phone to BT, threatening to move my parents broadband to my ISP Namesco (£10.99 per mth up to 8mbs DSL) as they are currently paying £26/mth for it. Apparently BT are just about to announce significant price reductions:j to phone/broadband bundles including free internet telephony (VOIP). Details have not been announced to press yet but imminent (end of June). Sounds as if they will go head to head with Talk Talk.

Anyone in the know?

Amorabrighton

P.S. Last week managed to wrestle NTL down by almost £30/mth:j

ok just read it no savings at all, giving extras all included by looks of it. With free equipment or discounted stuff for new customers...............looking at the extras they are adding not really needed by me.....never use pc to make calls as those I call don't have computers so not a lot of use there, as for wireless allready have that ...........I personally cannot see any actual benefits for me. Only reason I stay is that there is no viable reliable alternative.

£26.99 a month for 40gb limit is hardly groundbreaking once you've stripped away the gimmicks, most of which are superfluous.

The service that allows you to make and receive calls, does not use the computer, you make the free calls from a standard handset that you plug in to your broadband hub/router

  • More "added value" I don't need.

I have always had a good service from BT Broadband, and up to now I've taken the 'better the devil you know' attitude, but that £26.99 a month is really starting to hurt. Guess its time to bite the bullet.

If you're happy to sell it to me at a price I am happy to pay - then I want it cheaper.
