Try your local butchers for a deal, you might be surprised at the price. We always get ours through the same place each year and it's always cheaper than the equivalent in the supermarkets and *usually* from a local farm too.
I'd also recommend trying a breast joint too. It doesn't look quite as nice, but at the end of the day it's much better value as there is little or no waste and great for slicing up for buffets etc. The one we got last year was £13 and if I remember correctly, about 3KG which was plenty to feed 5 with left overs. I've already ordered ours for this year and been told they should be cheaper - last year for some reason the prices shot up.0 -
We`ve got a turkey crown from Aldi - £8.99 , we`ve had one of those for the last 2 yrs now, very nice.0

Thanks all. I got a frozen turkey crown from Aldi for £8.99. I think the weight was about 2.3kg. Most were around the 2kg mark, but you have to choose the biggest, even if you do nearly end up inside the freezer!!!0
