I am in this week most definately - many thanks to HRH mistress pigpen and for soappie for being faster on the buttons!!!
the flat badly needs putting back in order as I want to put up my tree on sat or sunday at the latest so will be trying to do a little evryday as well as finalising presents and STARTING on the wrapping (oh horrors!!) but if I get everything done by sunday i can wrap mon tues wed next week so its not too bad!And when tears come to his eyes and he suddenly starts speaking in a high pitched voice, that's when I've kicked him somewhere higher up
lady L good luck for tomoprrow honey - the force of the flyladies be with you xxxxxx
mudders of course i wasnt including you honey bunny - have they not been to put on her white overcoat yet:eek:
:bdaycake:Happy Birthday tomorrow jay jay have a lovely day.:bdaycake:Valli - if any of them are younger why not buy a small box of sweets and put 50p's on the outside of it. I do this for children's parties now - usually a fivers worth. The children love it. Thats a good idea thank you
My top tip for Christmas is to sit down today/tomorrow and make the decision on what to buy - pretend it's Christmas Eve so you have to decide and then do it. Then you're not stressing for the next week and a half. yes thats what i will be doing tomorrow when the painter is here - i will need to make up my mind for wed and friday - thats my last shopping days
Sorry if I'm being bossy xx
:bdaycake::bdaycake:Just in case I am late getting on tomorrow I will also wish DIVA a very Happy Birthday too - I know its not quite what you want honey but we are all here and wishing you a lovely day xx :bdaycake::bdaycake:
ok off to create a list or maybe just find this weeks:rolleyes::D

Oooh ooh and LadyL if he starts looking around wildly it's because I'm shouting BOO at him from various places in the room, just to make him think he's going a bit crazy! I can't do anything violent because I do feel sorry for doctor-types sometimes (my mum's a GP, i can't help it).
I have no attic, having only 4 rooms can be useful sometimes:rotfl:
Love to everyone (and an especially squishy hug for piggers because I'm feeling brave)

because presents have still to be bought for
*deep breath*
almost everybody I have to buy presents for
it would help if I knew what to get
budget would help, but here are some ideas
2 sisters bath stuff/candles/handcream - something luxurious they wouldn't buy for themselves
1 BIL (got 1 BILs and dad) book/CD
neices 1 &3 (got neice 2 sorted) how old? make up? tights (not boring ones, coloured or patterned ones); nail varnish; earrings
Neices BF; nephews GF probably ages again..
nephews 1,2 & 3 ages again...
mum well my mum wanted hankies & coathangersapparently you can never have too many. I got her a lovely scarf (the kind you can wear every day, not the woolly winter ones). How about a voucher for a manicure or facial? Earrings or some other nice but 'everyday' wearable jewellery?
sil - well I beat a list out of my brother but how about a plant (indoor or outdoor, depending on how interested she is in gardening). If indoor, in a nice pot)
DS and DD aren't finished either proper presents or stocking fillers?
BF (best friend not boyfriend) bet you know what kind of thing she's like
I think HARD CASH might well find its way into gift wallets...
I cannot DO the attic cos I can't get in it due to my fear of heights - I usually shove a child up there and shout instructions BUT they'll be at school...
Try oxfam for unusual things - they have wonderful candles & soaps/bath oils etc... of course, if you're feeling flush you could do Jo Malone or Molton Brown or something. Or there's always body shop (they've got a delicious apricot range at the moment.
I also find bird-feeding stuff or bird houses goes down quite well.
My cousin wants a hyacinth in a glass pot (nice, easy, cheap!).
How about hampers made up with some of your delicious home made jam, some twinks or similar, and a few other home made bits? Nigella does a marinated feta that I'm planning on putting together next weekend, plus flavoured vodka... Lemon curd is quick to make too...
I'm sure you'll manage fine... and if you go for the hampers, I just happen to have a selection of containers that would be perfect for them, all waiting to go to the charity shop - if only you were nearer0 -

Evenig all,
I'm in, thanks Pigpen, Toots & Soappie.
We've had a lovely day at the family Christmas party. I was saying goodbye to my Uncle when DS2 said to him " Why were you dressed up as Santa? " i tried to tell him that it was the real Santa but he wasn't having it. ( it wasn't even that Uncle it was a diffrent one but they all look very similar) Driving home for 2 hrs in the dark wasn't much fun though, especially when i nearly killed us all pulling out when i shouldn't have .
I've found some more presents i haven't wrapped. I did that last year hid presents in the cupboard under the stairs, forgot about them and Ds1 found them ages later:o
