Weekly Flylady Thread 14th December 2009

In this week - I've made a start on the kitchen, worktops all clean, washing up done (I did offer to do yours Ashia:D) and I even had a go at the floor this afternoon.

Not really caught up with last weeks thread as lappy threw a viral wobbly and it took a few days to sort it out, had to reset so lost loads of stuff.

Won't be doing much tomorrow night off to the gym after work and then OH is treating me to a meal (at the gym, but they do some nice stuff)

I shall have to get some wrapping paper and start on the pressies, then I might find out if I need to sort out any other ones. I have just about got all the food and treats in for Christmas.

We have been working in a huge project in the office for the last 31/2 months. It's been hard work and the wind down to Christmas is going to be really pleasant or at least it should be. So I may actually have some energy left in the evening to get some flying done:rotfl:

Hopefully I can focus a bit more this week. My boys finish their term around noon on Wednesday and I'm aiming to get 3 job applications done this side of Christmas. I need to get gifts wrapped and posted, and work out which are left to sort out. Not having much luck clearing things through Freecycle at the moment so I'll take some things into another charity shop tomorrow.

I'll try to sit down and write my 'extras' list after tomorrow morning's school run - see you then!

Monday ~ Kitchen of Grot
Level One
Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors
Find and wipe the worksurfaces
Level Two
Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
Clear and wipe a shelf and a window sill
Run the appliances through a clean cycle! degunge filters etc
Level Three
Wipe the table and replace the cloth if necessary.
Sort through and clean out ALL the food cupboards.. Sling the grot that has been in there since time began!!
[STRIKE]Clean the oven and hob.. [/STRIKE]


Extras

1. Thoroughly clean out the fridge.. make use of anything almost past its best
2. Wash the windows
3. Get those last minute cards and presents posted!!
4. Dust and Deweb

I've foolishly invited my friends from Devon round for lunch tomorrow. I wll now be flyng all morning to get the place ready. I'm gently trying to encourage DH to put a week's worth of dinner plates/glasses/beer cans/beer bottles/sauce bottles/salt in the kitchen. Not sure it's getting through :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm going to try to get some of the lists done but I HAVE TO FINISH the blerdy DR this week as its getting on my boobs, big time. We can't put the tree up yet as the DR stuff is sitting in the tree space that I created last week and I think that my DD is about to give up talking to me if I don't sort it out soon [that may be a blessing in disguise though Hmmmmmmmmmm wonders what to do now decorate or have peace]
I also need to wrap pressies [after the DR is done] but if all else fails DH is going to take the kiddies out for the day next week so I can crack on with it then.
The house is messy cos theres dust everywhere from sanding the walls and thats gonna be finished by Tuesday so I can start painting Weds - well thats the plan lol

Level one
Tidy the baubles and lights on the tree.. OR PUT UP YOUR TREE NO WAY NOT YET I COULDNT COPE - plus is there time to add the second coat of paint on the walls in time for this Chrimbo
Level two
Vacuum the stairs and hallway and living room
Wipe and water plants
Wash the windows
Level three
Wipe the paintwork in the hallway and up the stairs.
Extras
Check the smoke alarms
Fill a binbag for charity shop
Finalise your christmas menu and shopping list
Defluff and deweb these rooms
Wednesday Extras
Finalise those last minute presents you have to buy..
Post all the cards you need to post
Finalise shopping orders/lists for your christmas food shop..
Thursday - Master messroom! and landing
Level one
Strip the bedding and get it washed!
30 minutes floordrobe/junk clearing!!
Level Two
Vacuum and turn the mattress, vacuum the landing and floor
Remake the bed
Clean the windows
Level Three
Wash any curtains/etc that are in need
Wipe down all the furry paintwork
Fill a binbag for charity shop or the bin!
Extras
HHI
Collect all the dirty laundry from upstairs
Clean out any pets/wash pet bedding
Wash some light shades
Friday - children pits, spare rooms or just neglected spaces
Level One
Change and dirty bedding that needs it!
Level Two
Vacuum through the rooms that need it
Wash any soft furnishings that require a wash
Level Three
Clear out the toy boxes.. (or a box of guff) .. Santa wants to fill them up.. No he darn well doesnt
Clean out any bins.. and do a binbag dance!!
Clear out a grotty cupboard!.. any cupboard so long as it is grotty!
Extras
Final final shopping lists
Update remaining present lists
Wrap remaining presents
Make a timetable for christmas prepartions.. turkey in.. turkey out.. etc

PLUS I have the following that are essentials

Monday -
Grill DD about using the computer
Remember to give DD some lunch money for Christmas lunch Thursday (and they cant even give them traditional Turkey :rolleyes:)
Ring boss about Friday lunch
1pm Hospital
Tuesday - (payday )
1pm Hospital
Wednesday -
1.30 DD school show at the church
Make cakes for Thursday
Thursday -
Remember DD no packed lunch today as xmas dinner
Send plate cakes in
Make White chocolate and Cranberry fudge for teachers presents
6pm - DD school show ??? can friend or DS take as we have
DH Xmas meal with work
Friday - (DH's one full day off between 9th and 29th :eek:)
