  • I watched it on the sky plus ealier on today (this years Delia). TBH, I skipped through a lot. I dont need to be shown how to make a Christmas cake, a Christmas pudding etc. Or a turkey for that matter.

Obviously there is absolutely nothing else on the tele and I am on my own tonight. Am swithering between watching a Harry Potter DVD or the Hilter film, the one that's been spoofed on youtube. Hmmm....
  • Havent had a chance to do the stars yet but I promise i will in the morning and catch up on all the news

But i did see that lil_me needs a massive hug - you are a wonderful Mum and care so deeply about all your 'other' children too - even though you knew it was still going to be a shock when someone with the right credentials confirmed it - have a good cry honey and get it out of your system - tomorrow he will still be your little boy no matter what the label and you are one of the strongest and bravest people I know so you will cope beautifully.(((hugs)))
G&B how lovely to see you pet - i rather thought you might be busy at uni - I am so sad to hear about LO again - what a tough year she has had and yet she has soldiered on and you too - I hope they find 'something' which is causing all the problems and its something that can be dealt with easily - I would love to be a fly on the wall when she opens her pressies - and the same at your M&D's what a lovely present that will be when your bruv comes home - i hope you have a brilliant time.((((hugs)))
TAG angel - I havent read the thread so i dont know if you have posted what happened but its terrible that you have been ripped off especially just now and especially when you are getting back on your feet - I hope there is some way of recouping your loss - I am here if you want/need to rant or chat - massive hugs for you my sweet. (((hugs)))
    toots xx

    Good evening all!

on the way to work today, a parent from school skidded on the icy road and bumped into my car - fortunately at very low speed and he has offered to pay for the repair, rather than going through the insurance company.

Me too!! A very young driver touched the brakes on a very icy surface and skidded into my car that was parked.... Typical that he could drive home and I sat there from 4pm unitl I got home at 7.45 - I was frozen. Car has had to be taken away as I cannot secure it, the driver's door is buckled.

It is a lease car through work and I am really gutted that they cannot supply another car before Monday - the weekend before Christmas and I cannot get out of the village!:mad: DD is going to have to walk nearly 5 miles to the station in Sleaford to catch the train to work in Lincoln. Cannot get a taxi as - I cannot understand this - it is too early at 7.15...... huuh!! No buses until 9 and she has to be in work at 8.30 - why does my life get more complicated rather than less!

I am not happy about her walking but I cannot go as I will be too wheezy. what is really annoying is that the other driver's insurance company can get me a car and my lease company say no - really cross - will hit the phone tomorrow morning.

Still on the bright side - if I cannot go out then I do a lot of flying!!

Sat here feeling very ungrateful :o
Just opened a present - and wondering what the giver was thinking.
She is normally known for choosing just the right thing, but I am looking at a 'knitted and sequin' bag far smaller than anything she has ever seen me use and in a colour that doesn't go with any of the 'evening' stuff she knows I wear.

I am trying to imagine a scene in which she picked it up and thought "That would be perfect for *** "

Crafty, maybe this bag will serve as an excuse to go and shop in the January sales...... you need to find an outfit to match the bag!:D
