I'm to be the recipient of a very expensive (3 grand) leather 3 and 2 seater settee in about 7 weeks, no I'm not buying a new one :D DIL's mam is doing the buying, I'm getting her old one (good as new tbh, she replaces stuff every time she decorates, which is every 3 months lmao) for £200 which I can pay in installments if I like :j ooooooh get meeeeeeeeeee! Seeing as the hideously uncomfy ugly beasts I have now are ripped to bits and belong on the tip I'm mega excited, 2010 is 'do up the house year' and this will start if off nicely.

Which reminds me, had a letter off the council about the insulation/works programme, I'm set to get mine done tax year 2012/13  woot NOT! mind you, will be fabulous when it's done, so yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy :j

Well done posting all the cards LL, you're a braver gal than I am :D

Almost finished with the decs now. Going to fed the cats and then finish packing away the stuff which usually lives on the mantle etc - I love getting it all out again in a couple of weeks.

  • Logs being seasoned behind the playhouse
chopped logs in wood store to side of house
logs to be used next in a basket on the doorstep - this area is covered
logs around the heath drying out - mould dries off real quick

Kindling in bags in the side shed and then into a basket by the fire
Small chunks of wood in boxes in the loft then into metal container by the fire

sack of coal in the side shed
large bucket of coal on the hearth

I'm lucky all my wood is free from friend, neighbours, friends of friends etc.

Much like mine :D Before I started posting here regularly, DH swore that I kept my woodpiles tidier than the house :rotfl:

hellsbells we're all aloud to feel like that sometimes (((hugs)))
Dusty, will be lovely to have those around for you all I am sure, I have one of my Aunty's who died young & I love it
macpep there is used to be a vote, opinion tended to be yes have a list then those who want to can & those who don't don't have to
LL well done, see you know wht I mean now hehe, but I like causing chaos :) Thank you for offering this year. The boys were helpful sometimes, they loved sorting them but it was the fighting over who was going to do them....they prefered opening the parcels.
serena well done for tackling it, I would have done the same but I am known for being a bit of a thorn

Well message either got back to ex LL (landlady just to clarify lol) or she felt guilty, she emailed to say my parcel is there......only been there 2 days. Will collect it next week & send it back to them. All of this talk of wood burners makes me so jealous, wish we could have one, missing having a fire today, brr!

Oh I now OFFICIALLY have 2 complicated children ***rolls eyes*** DS2 got is Autistic Spectrum Disorder diagnosis today. They haven't told me anything I didn't know but still got that 'odd' feeling, like when DS1 was diagnosed even if I expected that too. It's like I had no idea, feeling a tad delicate but will be ok tomorrow no doubt.

Right time to get children in from snow, they will be like icicles
One day I might be more organised...........

Oh Lil_Me, I know you're probably in shock at the mo. Just because you've been given a 'label' to describe certain behaviours doesn't mean that you're going to stop being a fun, educational, caring, loving, safe and thoughtful parent.

Which of course, you are and always will be. xxx
