Digital tv, analogue video ?

Hello Can anyone tell me if im still able to record programmes off a digital tv ( my area s changed over now ) with my analogue video. Thanks:confused:. Ps I somehow think not as ive been trying all ways all afternoon with no sucess, or im doing something wrong:mad:
