The situation was entirely your own doing.
Had your partner not stolen and had you not acted in an aggressive and threatening manner to the staff whilst trying to leave with stolen goods and had a well known thieves accessory then absolutely none of this would have happened.1 -
MrKringle - based upon events, as you describe them, I would urge you to take appropriate legal advice.0

First I will state I am NOT a shoplifter and never have been.Anyone who assumes I am or have or that I willingly abetted anyone doing such will not be responded too.
Believing I was correct and that we had done nothing wrong I refused to go back in the shop and carried on walking out telling my partner to come on and not to take any notice of them.
The first statement is unfortunately cancelled by the second. We all evolve - get on with it1 -

am 50 years old and I suffer with severe asthma,
usually because of past embarasment at her having to put items back due to insufficient funds I sneak out to have a cigarette.
Perhaps try giving up smoking - would help your health & pocket!1 -

Hi,I believe security staff only have the right to detain you,non physically. They can only restrain you, using the minimum force necessary,if you try to leave. You do not have to go anywhere with them and they cannot force you to and they also cannot search you or your property without your permission.Personally I would just stay where I was and ask for the police to be called.
I have been harassed in the past by poorly trained security staff and would like to know what my rights are.1 -
How do you know of an undiagnosed heart problem if it hasn't been diagnosed?1

This HAS to be a wind up!
"Undiagnosed heart problem" How does he know he's got one then?
Magnet device in pocket = going equipped. Simple.1
