must be something they have problems with at the really big bus firms, like arriva, first & stagecoachThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Thank god for the car eh. Buses are a horrible method of transport, especially when you have smelly people sitting beside you coughing their diseases all over the bus without covering their mouths. Such a vile way of transportation. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

We have had the same problem on several occasions with First buses in our area. It happens all too often I'm afraid.0

What I would say is take a note of the numberplate and report it - of then the companies have an online form. When I spoke to the bus company last time, I was told 'I wish more people would report these events' - clearly the staff there get fed up with their drivers!0

The buses do sometimes choose to go past children at the bus stop. In glasgow near big high schools they do it all the time as they think the kids are too rowdy.0

It was established in the opening post that it wasn't.0 -
Not condoning what the bus driver but did your sons put their hand out for the bus, as a lot of kids around where i live just stand looking at the bus expecting it to stop, or put their hand out too late as most won't stop then.
When I was growing up you only put your hand out at a request stop.
What we had to do was stand right next to the bus stop if we wanted the bus, and stand away at the back of the pavement if we didn't.Also like has been said above it could have been full.
I thought it wasn't.0 -

Good job some drivers are doing their disease control bit by not stopping for passengers.0 -

But if the bus is driving past, how do they know the kids are going to be rowdy! And if the bus driver has already chosen not to stop at the stop when he sets out on the route, surely this is just plain wrong!!!
And .... sorry, but that's purely irresponsible to leave kids hanging around the streets, presumably meaning they get home in the dark.0 -
I have a relative who drives a bus, he once told me that lots of the drivers go straight past some bus stops, especially near to schools, they know from experiece the trouble the kids cause.
Ok it's not fair on the good kids but you can understand why it happens, the driver is doing a difficult job.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
