  • Keep phoneing the police non emergency number and get a log number for your complaint.

    I eventually got a 4 a.m. police raid.

OP doesnt sound particularly confident. I really wouldnt recommend taking pictures of people- it could really escalate things and I dont think its a good idea. :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • If you're not confident that the police are taking notice (and I can't think of a single reason why they are not) why not pop down to the police station with one of your neighbours and make a formal statement? They won't be able to ignore you then but as suggested, I suspect they are deeply interested and that they are watching the building and your scumbag neighbour

Who are you speaking to in the police, just a random person on the non-emergency number? Ask for a visit by your neighbourhood policing team, once you have named contact like becomes easier. Also if you hacve uniformed police showing up that will put the wind up the dealer and/ or junkies! I agree with getting the neighbours on board too, if no joy with Environmental Health or police then try your ward councillors and MP.

  • All these suggestions have just been so lovely, thank you guys (and girls lol).
I feel a bit better now, and I have a few things to check out and do, so it doesn't feel quite so big and undealable.
I have also found out that the building next to our flats is a safe house thats in almost constant use so I guess the police wouldnt want this carry on next to their property. Might help move things along??

  • RA; I have just googled the above and found that a house was shut in a local-ish area and that the timing is oddly coincidental.

P__G; I don't think the flat is under surveillance but I have been waiting for a raid, I may have been watching to many of those tv police programs though lol.

Thank you everyone for your continued help.

Trust me you would not know if it was under surveillance or they wouldn't be doing their job correctly :)

Contact the duty inspector at your local police station and log the complaint with this person. If my memory serves me correctly with is very rare these days they tend to work 8am to 4 pm on days.

If you don't feel they are doing anything then write to the police complaints commission and they will look into it for you and more than likely get you contact from who you have already reported it to.
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted:)
    I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p
  • I would contact the police and demand to speak to someone more senior (explain your getting no joy from recent phone calls) or go down to the local station and demand for something to be done. Photos of the stairways, car park and even messages left will help too.
There is no way i would live like that especially pregnant and expecting a baby soon i really feel for you.
Another possible help may be contacting your midwife who may beable to advise you or even point you in the quickest easiest direction. Stress is not good for babies.
I hope things get sorted out for you soon x

    Hello all,

Sorry this is so epic but I'm so scared.

Dont let this scum ruin your life. Get together with the other residents and make HIS life a misery. Be a shame if he somehow recieved a bl**dy good shoeing after a talking to.
  • Good advice about following this up with the police. I'd avoid doing anything that could be interpreted as provocative though - if someone gets a 'good shoeing', they may decide to retaliate... I'd also avoid overtly photographing things - again, it may stir up the situation.

Hope you get things sorted out soon!
  • Contact then talk to (preferably face2face) your local councillors (parish, district, county - whatever..) MP, MEP etc and hope that one will be sympathetic & apply some pressure for you on the council/the Police...)

Sadly sorting something like this out may take time, a bit of money, patience & possibly a bit of unwelcome publicity...

No, we don't want scum like this in our country...

    Cheers!
