Reg a neighbours dog chained up and howling

what is the the point of having a dog, if all you want to do is stick it in a kennel outside all the time?
all animals have a heart and a soul, feel pain and have emotions too,
so to those of you, who think its the right thing to be doing on xmas day, having a warm meal and feeling so cosy,
think of that animal you have outside, how do you know it likes it out in the cold? would you like to be tied up not hearing a soft voice?
what comes around, goes around,
dogs are not human they do not think like a human , a lot of problems today with dogs is caused by people although well meaning treat a dog like a child and give the dog the emotions of a child .
As long as a dog is well fed is warm and away from drafts ,given plenty of exercise is trained well it does not give a thought to you being inside eating your christmas dinner .
What is wrong is a dog inside or out being treated in a cruel way and cruel is not just being tied on a chain outside , it is also cruel to over look the fact that it is a dog and not a human , the amount of miserable over weight spoilt dogs with health problems caused by so called caring kind owners annoys me as much as a dog left outside and neglected .
I have always kept my dogs outside and better kept happy dogs would be difficult to find , my german shepherd is now almost 15 has great teeth and can still give many a spoilt overfed cosseted younger dog a run for their money ,the same can be said for my 14 year old agile springer who still swims and runs like a much younger dog .
the problem here is a dog that is neglected not so much because it is outside but because it is not getting the attention that it needs , so indoor or out the dogs needs are not being met .0 -
I read your OP and replied. I saw that you had contacted the RSPCA and that it was ok legally so I wondered what else could be done other than to go get the dog if its in distress. I didn't imply you had to scale a fence or whathaveyou, just that if it was so bad just to go help the poor dog!worriedsik wrote: »rubymoon.....if you had read my post properly you would have seen that i had called the RSPCA
Good for you if you could scale a 6ft fence and then get the dog and yourself back over it ! personnally i couldnt
i already had the advice i needed thanks and i wasnt coming back to 'moan' i came on to get advice , i got advice, i phoned the authorotys , i came back on to update the thread so why on earth do you think i was moaning ? you seem to have butted in at the end off the thread when all advice had been given to tell me to stop moaning and go and rescue it when i had already covered that with an other poster and stated that i couldnt do that.
i dont want to have a pop at you it seemed you were having a pop at me telling me to go and scale a fence ! and to stop moaning ! lol if everything was that easy i wouldnt have been on here ''Moaning'' would i
never mind
I did not say you were moaning. Hell fire, I am on your side!
The other person said something about taking dogs and I said that the OP came on for a moan but there was naff all else we can do about it now (as you had already phoned the authorities)
I think things get bent out of shape on here sometimes because we don't always understand whats meant. Where I come from, we use "naff all" to say nothing. Maybe I should always use "nothing". I use the word moan as in to complain. I really wasn't wanting to be mean or nasty.

By the time I answered you it was as a last resort. You seemed to come across as though you wanted to know what else you could do as you were worried and that is why I replied with "If it really is that bad......." etc.
I have answerwed you twice now with an apology and an explaination that I was on your side and didn't mean anything untoward and you are still antagonistic.
I'll leave you to it.0 -
