Fantastic - thanks everyone. DH is away tonight so I think I'll try a couple of glasses out, 'on the rocks', just to check before I try it on anyone else. Then I'll make some truffles another day, if there's any left that is!

OK - so if I aim for a few and it gives me a bigger headache than stomach ache I guess it's done the trick:rotfl:

I finally got round to digging the 3/4 bottle, untouched for the past 11.5 months, out this evening. No rocks - no coffee - just neat. A quick sniff and shake of the bottle and it seemed good to go.

    Blinking brilliant!

I've obviously got a far less discerning palette then! (Apologies for any spelling gaffes there!)

Cant answer from actual experience. It never gets chance to sit around long enough in my house to go off. But I am sure if it is stored right it would be fine.

It is heavenly poured over vanilla ice-cream.
  • My SIL moved into her cousins flat, when they were decorating they found a bottle that was 2 years out of date in one of the cupboards... it tasted absolutely fine and no side effects afterwards.
