I have a feeling that this is an AOL issue as I have the exact same problems.
I have been unable to access Littlewoods or Halifax for a few days now, I have tried this from 4 different PC's (and a mac) all running different operating systems but with no success.
If I find a fix I will post it here.
If it is AOL then type"secure fix" without the " into keyword hit return then restart pc,not quite sure exactly how it works but it does if having access problems with some sites0 -

Thanks for your reply. I don't have any actual AOL software on my PC (deliberately, as it slows everything down so much) so I can't use this fix without installing AOL, which I am very reluctant to do :undecided Also its not all secure sites that won't open, most do. Also not all webpages just certain ones?
I know I'm being lazy about this but I'm hoping that the issue will just sort itself out :rolleyes2 and since I know its not specific to my pc (i.e. something that I caused to happen) I don't want to change any of my settings.
If anyone has any news from AOL could you post it here?

Same problem here too. AOL should now be aware of the issue but how long are we expected to wait?
Don't hold your breath, you could be waiting a very long time. I used to have a problem accessing the games site onemorelevel.com whilst connected to AOL. It was many many months before that was fixed.0 -

I rang them this morning and it's definitely an AOL problem. It's not all secure sites that can't be accessed, only some, and they can't say when it'll be fixed. Some of the affected sites are Halifax, William Hill and Betfred.0

I have also been having these problems with AOL. Tried everything they suggested on the (so called) help line and have also spoken to someone who said that it would definitely be sorted out within 24 hours. Well, it isn't. I'm using a Mac.
I suppose we just have to sit and wait but it is so annoying.
I shall be looking into changing supplier so if anyone has any good recommendations I'd be grateful.
Many thanks for the link to the proxy - at least I can now transfer some money from my building society!0 -
