  • Could this be spam!
  • Hi,

Thanks, i think ill see if the bank of mum and dad are issuing loans :-/ lol , i live with my brother and a few friends and i dont want them to know my financial difficulties...not really, yeah it is cutting it fine, i was just hoping / relying my loan would be through by now, but iv just rang ( well just under a hour ago) and they said wednesday....its been a hold up with them, a bit like the student loan situation i think.....

and looks like all my christmas shopping might be done manically on christmas eve

If anyone comes up with any other ideas let me know :-)

    Cheers

    P.S im not a spammer ;-)
  • you know- maybe your bank might just give you that- talk to them on Monday- or even tomorrow as some are open. They know what's going on with studenty/career type loans, so they might just shove that small amount into your bank account(for a small interest fee)

other than that, talk to the landlord/lady if you can....they're certainly not in a position to kick you out fast....

And yes- I can see where you're coming from re. a little privacy re. finances and mates.
  • If you have online banking, sometimes they give you the option to apply online and get your money in a couple of days.
Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
    Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08
    ANOTHER 4 % June 09:beer:
  • Thanks guys,

ill look into the internet option to see if i can get the monies any quicker, the money might be in the bank, just i might be waiting for the bank cards im not sure... and will also visit the bank i bank with and see if they can help me....im hoping so... ( i bank with halifax, has anyone ever dealt with them in a similar situation to mine ?) whilst waiting for my loan iv maxed out my credit card, maybe they might offer me something...we shall have to see :-) and worse case senario i will ask my parents :-/ but they have all ready given me so much...and well its never nice to ask (although i would willingly give them money should they ever need it :-) and i had it of course lol )

Thanks again for all your suggestions, and anything anyone comes up is most apprecitated.

Ok (thought at first was spam, as we do get alot on here, sorry!!!) How long is the loan for? If you are looking at a month or so then payday loans might be the answer but you need to pay them next month and the interest is so high e.g. £20 for each £100 you borrow per month, not the best option though. If its something longer then you might need to look at your bank for an overdraft or loan. How long are you looking to take out the loan for?
  • :o Hi,

Thats okay, i have noticed looking through the forums that there is alot of spam...:-)

i literally only need to borrow the money until wednesday /thursday then my loan will come through....i havent got a job (im at college full time) so i cannot get a pay day loan....:-( , ill pay it back as soon as i get the loan through? i just didnt expect my career development loan to take as long ( i started the process about 8 weeks ago now)

    any thoughts on any options?

Many thanks for all your help
  • Hey :),

Firstly, How much money do you need ? Ignore this question, just read your post again aha (£350)

Ever considered a payday loan ? I took one out 2 months ago for £450, Was accepted there and then and had the funds in my account the next day, Then I paid it off on my payday + interest, Although alot won't accept you for anything higher then £250 for your first loan.

I wish people would stop recommending payday loan companies without exhausting every other option first. Payday loan companies should never be used but if you do feel the need to do it, it should be a very last resort with you having absolutly no other options. Payday loan companies are just sharks in suits.
