I have used the hair band method for years but the creaclip is much better, I use it to cut a side swept fringe.
Freezer bag clips are no good cos the creaclip has a brush inside
it which stops it sliding down, it also has a spirit level attached so you get a level cut. I think its fab and got mine from their web site.Kindness costs nothing0 -
This looks good but seems a bit pricey for me at the momentThere is no issue so small that it can't be blown out of proportion0

I know this is an old thread, but if anyone else looks up "creaclip" as I did, and find this thread, I have just found a UK website selling unbranded creaclip-type clips for £10 here: http://www.hairstyles-instantly.co.uk/0

If you bend over and tip your had downwards and cut a straight line you will get very neat layers.
I have very long hair and I smooth it down my back, slide my fingers to the ends and then bring it around in front of my hip to trim. Long hair is awesome for this. Checking with mirrors I've never found it wonky. Not had a salon cut since 2003

Both my DDs have shoulder length hair, I wet and condition it, brush it up to the very crown and twist it one way quite tightly, cut across, then twist the other way and cut again, this gives great layers and saves a fortune in hairdressing bills. DHs hair gets done with the clippers every 6 weeks, they cost us £1 at a bootfair (new in their box)."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
