Difference creditors require different information, maybe they insist you are on the ER, whilst others like credit cards/loans care less about it.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Different creditors have different policy and it changes time to time. Even though u suggests that ER is only potential problem, I am reluctant to agree. Reason being t- mobile needs you as a customer , your scores is OK (Assuming equifax has got all your records and your outgoing is well within your contol) T-Mobile would have rather asked you to provide address proof or deposit £250 (or some money).Hi, yes I've checked through everything on the equifax report, no defaults, no missed payments, 15 credit agreements in total dating back 10 years, all now satisfied and paid. 2 searches done on me in the last 6 months (by mortgage companies). No CCJs, 6 years at previous address, 1 month at current address. No linked accounts, no issue with address.
The only thing it appears that is missing is my electoral roll information - funny how I have never been refused credit for this before though.
As someone suggested earlier. challange them and ask them to specify reasons. It may not not work but no harm either.
In past I had similar issue where my few credit cards were in old address and i was not in ER. but then creditors said that address is a problem you eiher provide address proof or give some deposit.
I recently took a phone from T-Mobile (Ordered on Friday but they messed up the delivery so still waiting). I remember they asked me to give a credit card number for Credit Check. I always give them my credit card with proper address with no outstanding money and with no penalty. Did they asked you to give a credit card detail?
Don't worry too much about mortgage it works differently.
Few tips to keep in mind. I am sure you are aware of this but repeating.
First try to get a response from T-Mobile it will give you peace of mind.
Get yourself enrolled in ER ASAP as this factor will play everytime.
If you are planning to go for a mortgage in near future then it is worth spending £15 and get your credit score.
I beleive Mortgage company should have done a search only and it should not go against you. only credit check (which is normally done when you submit mortgage application form) is counted towards your score.
Try not to have any more credit check against you.
Cheers and good luck
