T-Mobile Solo 20 - refused as I have a low credit score?
This is the first time I have ever been refused credit for something. I am 30 years old in a good job, I have been a homeowner for 6 years (just sold last month) and never defaulted on any payments whatsoever.
I signed up for the free Experian credit report to see what the issue is but it does not show any missing payments/defaults.
Why would I be refused? I'm really worried about this as I'm going to be applying for another mortgage shortly.

Did you ask why you were refused?
Have you checked the other 2 agencies, callcredit and equilfax. Not all creditors report to all 3 agencies. Experian is the best but they do miss things if creditors don't tell them.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
I asked but she said she didn't know why, just that I had a low score. She said it could be because I don't have enough credit?
I asked her which agency she used and she said Equifax - that's the one I checked, I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary on there (but I couldn't see my score, I'm not paying £15 for that).0 -
Are you on electoral register?0

You can appeal the decision and you will probably be fine. Get your application reference number and write to: Credit Referrals T-Mobile (UK) Building 6, 1st Floor Hatfield Business Park Hatfield Herts AL10 9BW0 -
Electoral Role is the reason... as soon as i got myself on it i was accepted by them0

Small note, dont pay anything for a credit score. The score is meaningless as every creditor scores you differently.
Taking the above post into account experian might score you at 700 (good).
But because T-mobile insist your on the electoral role they might score you at 0 for that 1 reason.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Hi, yes I've checked through everything on the equifax report, no defaults, no missed payments, 15 credit agreements in total dating back 10 years, all now satisfied and paid. 2 searches done on me in the last 6 months (by mortgage companies). No CCJs, 6 years at previous address, 1 month at current address. No linked accounts, no issue with address.
The only thing it appears that is missing is my electoral roll information - funny how I have never been refused credit for this before though.0
