Do Chrome/Firefox/IE allow scheduled clearance of browsing history?

The question says it all.
As far as I can see, no browser has the option of scheduling an automatic clearing of browsing history e.g. at next startup or whatever.
Anyone know otherwise?

Firefox certainly has the option to "Clear history when Firefox closes" under the Tools, Options, Privacy tab. You can then specify exactly which history is cleared in Settings. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I use Firefox and it gives you the option to clear history and cache on exit. I would have thought other browsers do as well but not 100% sure.
But it sounds like you're looking for something more complicated like clearing at a specified time. Or am I wrong.0 -
OP, You could always use ccleaner and set it to run on startup. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Clearing of data on closure of the browser would do fine. I have to do this manually at the moment.0 -
IE - Tools > Internet Options then check the box next to 'Delete browsing history on exit'0

In Chrome
Click on the spanner in the top right > options > Personal Stuff > Clear Browsing data
Also CTRL+SHIFT+N will open a Chrome tab in Incognito mode where nothing will be saved such as browsing history, Cookies, etc when the tab is closedIf freedom is outlawed, only outlaws will have freedom.0 -
If you go into TOOLS/OPTIONS/PRIVACY in firefox you can select the number of days the history is kept (Or as espresso said)
I cant find anything in chrome except to clear it manually
IE/TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/GENERAL/BROWSING HISTORY SETTINGS/DAYS TO KEEP PAGES IN HISTORY (Or you can manually clear):idea:0 -
