Pap - Specsavers do a test for £20 (I think) and they have a budget range from £25 including lenses now...I looked at some but as my eyes are really bad I need to have my lenses thinned down to fit most frames to stop them looking like milk bottle ends and they wanted to charge an extra £110 for the lenses.....the thinner lenses came free in the £75 price range frames though....So make sure you look around at everything.

Thanks Pooky, I think I will have to investigate when the time comes. I dont think I had anything special done to my glasses. Although maybe a reflective thing for when driving  So I am hoping if I need new ones I can get bog standard ones. I think I may be able to spend approx £50 with my test but I would love to keep my frames I have here. I do love them although they were not that expensive as I have just dug out the reciepet :rotfl: We shall see...

    Thanks :A

Bunny - I kid you not. I saw them cos a woman was inspecting them.
Pooky - the ones I saw were pink and brown - arms and legs brown, so it looked like you'd a had a severe attack of diarrhoea that attacked your arms and legs, was the poo-brown shade too.

How did I know that remembering that would be useful here?

Pap, I *think* Boots are doing free eye tests right now. I've had new lenses put in old frames before, it wasn't a problem although they do warn you that it's possible for them to break the frames while they're doing it and it not work. I didn't have to pay anything (because of being on benefits) but it would have just been the cost of the lenses. Could you get a HC1 form? I think they're for people on low incomes, not just students, and you earn such a low wage you might be entitled to some help.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Adult babygros?! My poor OH already has to put up with me wearing a fleecey dressing gown, socks and slippers. Think it would push him over the edge if I wore a big babygro :rotfl:

Edit: BB, saw you looking at cars, and I can recommend the Toyota Yaris. I bought one earlier this year, and I love it. It's small, automatic, and easy to park. I saw one I liked for 3k, but ended up getting one I liked more for £3.5. I'm a very nervous driver, and it has really helped me, I had a manual for my first car. Never again lol.
