I have one of these with about 10 pints of manky beer in (pressie for OH a couple of years ago - he still has about 40 pints of the 'base' stuff but doesn't seem bothered so I stopped putting more in). I'm always the one to clean/sterilise/re-start the beer off..........so, perhaps for me instead.....any good for making fruity stuff?

Brewing in it would be tricky due to the amount of fruity solids you'll have to get out....a bucket would be best but you could store the end product in the barrel when it's done. Brewing buckets are about £6 in wilkinsons.

might ask for a brewing barrel for Christmas then :D It would mean finding out if one of the tubs is pureed nectarine.........or butternut squash, red pepper and coriander soup..........I've never been brave enough to find out which it is and it's sat in the freezer for about 2 years now :rotfl:
