just thinking about doing car boot sales with ebay unfriendly stuff, and hit on a minior snag. My car boot is tiny. Now the car is a hatchback, but even so, its not going to fit much in

Toying with the idea of buying a second old vehicle, like an old volvo estate with 6 months tax, rather than have to hire a van each time I want to do a car boot...Sure I cant be the only one in this predicament. Anyone have any ideas?

I've got a transit connect van and its great for carboots i get 2 tresle tables in (big tables) and all the stuff is on the other side so it doesnt take long to set up

  • Just a few tips with packaging items
    • Make sure what you are sending is secure with plenty of tape, jiffy bag or plastic mailing bag-good for everything!
    • envelopes are ok for mags or knitting patterns
    • also keep your washing powder boxes, cereal boxes etc as these are also great for packing - wrap them in brown paper (Wilkinsons 69p)
    • Tissue paper is great from Poundland 20 sheets for £1, sellotape, brown tape and padded envelopes
Buy small quantities until you get into the 'swing' of selling regularly and then shop around for larger quantities - you'll need somewhere to store it!

I have brought lots of things through eBay and a lot of the wrapping has been good but I have had books sent in normal evelopes, by the time they have got to me it's ripped/torn. I even had an only the evelope arrive and not the contents, because the packaging had split.

Remember that your buyers can leave you feedback good or bad!!

I have been ebaying for several years post quite a lot of stuff a year and I use Viking - for bubble wrap, only when they have offers on of course!!!

You are all doing great keep it up!!!!!

    Buddy needed -

I am a single mum to 4 kids, with an erratic boyfriend.

    I work from home.

    I love books and money.

I sell on ebay, Play.com and Amazon

I am looking at Dooyoo and matched betting for this year, and setting up 2 or 3 more web based businesses.

    I can talk for England.

    I live in the South.

    Anyone want to buddy?

I need a buddy too, so will happily buddy you. I am from South as well, near sea (ish). Where are you from?
