Hi Everyone,
I'd like to join in this challenge to so can you please add me to the list as well?
I do have one or two ideas of things that I'm going to do and I'm hoping that more and more ideas will come to me further down the line:
Matched Betting: this is a very good way of turning a small amount of cash into a large amount. I've been doing it for a couple of years now so have used up all the most profitable offers but I still aim to make between £50 and £100 per month just to keep it ticking over.
I see that some of you guys are looking at exploring this option and would like some support. Maybe I could help some of you out and give you a bit of guidance and I might be able to ask you for some help on other things further down the line eg help with ebaying, wholesalers etc?
Ebay/Market Stalls: I have just started doing my own little business selling baby and childrens clothes on a very part time market stall and I'm hoping to get an ebay shop up and running in the new year. I've been selling little bits here and there but I really want to ramp things up come January!
Anyway good luck to everyone that's signed up! :T11k in 2011 - £256.63 / £11,000January £10 a day - £256.63 / £3100 -
Hello!
I've being reading this thread and am very interested! I think I'm going to aim for a more reasonable target (for my circumstances) of £5000 - but hey you never know, anything more would be a huge bonus!
I've already got the ball rolling, in fact, I listed a Nintendo Wii & Wii Fit on eBay last week. Before I was aware of this thread - it's due to end tonight and I'm marketing the fact it'll be delivered before Christmas! However, most people are wanting to pay by cash and collect it (which is great as I can then pay less fees and I won't loose out the £7 on postage!) I reckon I'll get about £200 for it and it's not even 2010 yet!!
Goodluck to everyone, let's hope all our balances are up by the end of 2010!
I've already been emailed an excel document for ebay postage (thanks cally6008), but has anyone go an excel document for how much I've paid out and how much I sold it for and profit etc etc. I know it's been mentioned earlier in the thread, please PM me if you can help!
Please could you sign me up anway,

The above are a couple of links that my cousin forwarded on to me. They are both companys that she does some work for, that are recruiting, in the field marketing area.
One of the company's gives her a van for a couple of days, when a product is on promotion, and she goes off and sells the products to retailers. When the product is right she's made good money.
These kind of jobs remind me of the tasks that are on the Apprentice LOL, not for the fainthearted, but invaluable experience, and very flexible.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Hi all -
This thread has really inspired me reading it on my lunch break so I have made my initial investments! I have spent £30 on 6 duvet covers, 2 single, 2 double and 2 King size and I will be putting these on eBay tomorrow. Also spent £30 on 2 x Philip's Hifi systems that I spotted on the internet that are worth more than double. I hope I make a decent return on these items and the money will be banked for my next finds to increase the return!
Thanks to OP and everyone who has posted their idea's - keep them coming and i'll let you know how the listings go!Member of Quidco and Dooyoo

Yes will do! That's why I said about loosing £7 of my profit to postage, as the limit for game consoles is £14 - but it's going to cost me £21 for special delivery. I think I may get more interest for those who aren't as organised and need last minute presents! I've had one guy who's asked for me to end the auction at £115 so he can pay cash and collect tonight. I'm going to wait and see what everyone elses' offers are tonight!0 -
Afternoon all.
Im a bit of a lurker...first post and everything but was wondering if i could join? Am saving up for a deposit on a house and 10 grand would pretty much be the whole amount so if i could do it in a year it would be wonderful!
Am just off to pick up DD from nursery so will be thinking what i can buy with my initial £100 stake pn my way.
Ive got a lot of junk to get rid of in the house to thats a good start i think, i must start to declutter and organise ( and overcome my fear of ebay...hehe) so that i can start listing asap.
Has anyone got a spreadsheet template that i could use? Im not much good on computers!
What a wonderful idea for a challenge, is it bad that im excited about it?
Good luck everyone, i'll be posting later with any ideas ive had.

It looks like you have picked up some good things there!! I am going to try and buy bigger items, so that I can hopefully make more profit with less effort... Lol... I will, however, be eBaying all the cr*p in the garage... I don't really know where to start when it comes to reselling on-line though... I suppose I will just try to find good bargains.
Also, I am thinking of setting up a bank account where I have to give 30 days notice if I want to withdraw... that way, removing money from this collection will be less of a temptation...

Can I take part? I am going to invest £100 when I set up my ebay clothing retail business in stock. I would like to make it a full time job, so making £10,000 will certainly help! I am also going to have a wardrobe clear out and sell stuff which I do not wear or does not fit any more and sell these on ebay too.0
