I am getting a bit confused, but trying to work out which one is the best. I think my options are Ebay, Play.com or Amazon?
Ebay seems to be 10% plus listing fee.
Play - free for Jan, but thereafter 10% plus an extra 5% withdrawal fee.
Amazon - can't get my head round this. It says:
"If you are looking to sell only a few products or expect to have less than 40 orders a month, click here to sign up as an Individual seller with Amazon which has no monthly fee but instead a per product sold fee of £0.86. "
On top of this 86p do you pay the 17.5% referral fee as well?
    Help please

Yes you pay the 17.5% +86p for each sale, the fee is on the postage charge too

Play.com is expensive too with the withdraw fees, I listed items on there back in october and not had 1 sale. I find ebay the best and cheapest
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.

in answer to an earlier post, re: expenses, again, as per other advise, can check up on HMRC for allowable expenses, but when i last did ebay selling, expenses allowed were things like, sellr fees, postage costs, parking fees, petrol, as i worked from home we did a similar thing, which was how many rooms in house, then divide bills by amount of rooms, as i use one room for business use i used that percentage, think i was allowed, gas, electric, council tax, and on top of that also allowed broadband as all work was internet based?? I also will need to look into his further as i am now resurrecting this business (thanks to this thread, lol) so if i get any definite answers i will let you know, but please, don't quote me on any items listed at present, this is just a guide to maybe help show what things maybe allowed as expenses (to maybe help those who have not done it before and perhaps has not accounted for some of these things when looking at profit made)
Thanks to all who post comps :T

£28.53 for today, total for this year so far is £389.08

Think its going well, as i said on the £10 a day thread, Always begin the day thinking "wheres my money coming from today" and as the day goes on it looks like there wont be any extras that day :( Then i pull something out of the bag and get some money in :D It will all add up in the end! Small steps everyone, we will all get there in the end. Even if the 10k isnt reached by 31st of Decemeber il keep going until i do hit it and see just how long it takes. Then start the challange again and look to smash the time taken to get it. Just depends how my job goes, after summer itl be paying a good bit more so more income il be able to risk a bit more. Well done all who earned something today. To everyone who never, dont worry theres always tomorrow

but my motto is why put off until tomorrow something you could do today!:j
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

I also had a really good conversation with a possible supplier for my possible online/ebay business selling body jewellry. Does anyone on here have any expereince of body jewellery, either selling or just having piercings themselves? I would love to know as I might need a bit of advice/market research!!

I am a pierced person yes ;) Main things you want to find out are what material is the jewellery made from as lots of people will only wear (for good reason) high quality stainless steel (called 316L) or titanium. Cheap body jewellery can be found on sites like crazy factory, it's in Thailand but ships quickly.

You also need to read up on gauges (how thick the jewellery is, majority of piercings are 1.6mm but some are 1.2mm) and sizes (length, banana bars for belly buttons is usually 10mm although I personally can only wear an 8mm because of how they pierced it) hope that helps.
