I got a Blackberry Storm and an LG Viewty that i can get around £100 for the 2 on phone buyer websites but they are both out of battery. Will this be a problem, do they need to be charged or will they charge them to check them?

Not sure if they would charge them to test them. I am sending one off and gave it a charge just to make things easy. If you can't find the chargers though ...

I'd like to join! I have £100 ready to "invest" and I have a load of craft goods that need a good home, so I will look to get ebay up and running again for selling. I might even have an accounts book I once bought but never used!

My aim will be to first sell a lot of the existing items that I have in my study to increase the initial £100 investment, then sort out my room to house the next batch of items.

Fingers crossed I can turn the £100 into £1000 very soon! Thanks for starting this thread!

For those buying stock on a Credit card, think very carefully about the cashback rate you are on. Depending on how much you are thinking of spending you might find a flat rate or a tiered rate better.

An example - the Amex Platinum card which Martin raves about. If you spend less than £1200 a month on it you will earn more cashback on a flat 1% rate card (ignoring the initial 3 months at 5%) My Sums only.....

  • I know we can't swap usernames on here, but I thought of something that would help us identify each other on there. If we all add the abbreviation MSE to our profile info, the publicly viewable bit, we'll know who is rating us from this site.

    Just a thought!

  • How sad am I? If I can rate 5 items a day on DooYoo, that's £2.50 a day. Plus any points for rating. So over 300 days, that's £750 quid in the pot- for nothing. That's my Christmas money for 2010! Woohoo, and thank you MSE!!!!

(I've already got over £7 in there and I only started two days ago!):T
