Link for NCT sales, as requested.

I'm going to list another 20 items now. DH has just found an unopened BT Vision box with all the bits, which sell on ebay for around £30.00 and i've just found an unopened Microsoft Publisher box set, which i'll stick on too (both in the garage).

Definitely, wouldn't have bothered, if I hadn't have been following this thread.

    Thanks everyone.

i have registered again, much better, now to get busy.
  • Woohoo I'm off the mark :j

£19.68 on a couple of eBay items after fees
£45.71 Bingo Win (after taking off initial £25 deposit)
£ 5.50 in my sealed coin tin. I'm going to keep this in work I think and put my change in there instead of visiting the chocolate machine!!

I have a box of bits and pieces that I'm going to eBay tonight and dig out some more stuff for later in the week.

    Other plans:
    1. Change my £35 per month mobile tarriff to PAYG - this should save me about £300 per year!
    2. Include Tesco Clubcard vouchers in my total as we're saving them toward hol in 2011.
    3. Whenever I receive a trial product from Tesco Home Panels, I will put the value of that item in my coin tin as it will have saved me buying it.
    4. Walk to work to save on petrol costs.
    5. Include competition wins into my total as I can use prizes as birthday/xmas gifts plus wins like make up and toiletries saves me buying these items. Any unwanted runners up prizes will be eBayed.
    6. Trawl Quicdo for good deal when various insurances are up for renewal.

    :D

For those who sell books on amazon do you usually send first or second class as it says 3-11 days delivery for standard.
If second class can you still get proof of postage slips and do you use jiffy style bags?
Listed my books last night and got my first sale today :-)
    Jo x

I've always sent second class and not had a problem. I will package with whatever I have to be honest as long as it is done securely etc. Yes you can get proof of posting on all items sent through the post.

    Well done on the sale

Just wondering if anyone can help me with an Ebay query? I already have my own business /website as I make wedding jewellery. The business name that is registered for tax includes the words wedding jewellery. I am now buying some stuff to sell on eBay in the toy line so need to change my eBay account from private to business.,
Question is do I need to use my 'official' business name which won't sound very good or can I make one up? Or do I need to register another additional name with the tax people?
    Thanks for any help :-)

I'm not an expert but many people have lots of businesses so they must have different business names so I would assume you can call your ebay name what you lik.

    Hi Hannah,

Now I have used DHGate but not for branded items. I lived in China for a few months and saw that nothing is real ! The fakes are great copies and I would love a Louis Vitton bag from China and I got some fab phones from there for personal use- but for reselling purposes it could get you into sticky water. The Ipods and branded goods are replicated and sold cheaply. Most of the time you wont notice a difference but in some situations you might have to refund buyers, trading standards may get involed etc..

Of course this is a generalised answer - there may be some geniune Chinese Louis Vitton sellers, or Zippos, or Hello Kitty, or Estee Lauder...... but I personally wouldnt buy branded.

Many thanks for your reply, i think i will be holding off on these, think i will be doing some more research over the next week or so for some different products.

Again thanks again for your reply :T
