Hi All, Good to see everyone so inspired - keep it up!
A quick tip, Equifax is currently offering £8 cashback via Quidco for signing up to their 30 free trial, with no catches (correct me if I'm wrong) so thats money for nothing, and a kick up the butt seeing my credit profile lol!
On the issue of beanie babies, I know they dont sell well at all on ebay.co.uk has anyone checked out ebay.com (since Ty is an american brand, maybe they'll sell better to the USA?)Make £10K in 2010 Challenge - £82.02 :TThink wealth not debt!New Comper - lets see what 2010 wins me!! :j0 -
Hi all
Just to let you know, I have made converts of my OH, my sister and my mum (none are currently very active members of MSE - more fool them!! he he). On top of this thread inspiring me, we are going to try skills sharing as a way to maximise our strengths so fortunately I am surrounded by people being supportive and helpful! Yay!!
Great ideas here, have caught up with the thread and am now going to enter some comps and complete some surveys!
Good luck in all your money making effortsand Happy New Year!!

I was just wondering the lady you know that sells the cakes etc at the car boot, do you know if you have or that she has to have special licensing etc or is it just bake and go? I make a lot of unusual things and constantly make and give away to friends and family, would be nice to sell them instead and I love the car boot idea!
My Mum used to make cakes and pies and sell them at Framer's Markets and Craft Fairs. She didn't notify anyone about it and happily did it for years. Then someone reported her to Environmental Services at the council, as a cake was slightly undercooked in the middle.
She was mortified! They went to visit her kitchen to make sure everything was clean (it was spotless) and that she kept her eggs in the fridge; that sort of thing.
It might be worth checking your local council website for info on storage and preventing food poisoning etc. I'm sure you'll be fine though - Good luck0 -

That's okay, just spending alot of time listing at the mo......I've lots of little bits, but it all adds up to healthy weekly amounts. The list is updated in the mornings ,thanks and keep focused ! :T:T:T"Do not let what you can't do interfere with what you can do."0 -
It is exciting to get started and good luck to everyone! I've reserved the Secret and am picking it up from the library tomorrow.
I have exams a week on Monday and have a lot of study to do, but in the vein of doing something I have started listing books on amazon and finding bits for ebay/amazon. I want to list 10 things and find 10 things everyday. This will get me going and once my exams are done I will get going with Phase 2. This is actually listing items for sale on ebay, doing carboots, registering for daily clicks/surveys/mystery shopping, and doing dooyoo, scratchcards and anything else I can think of to add to my list! I've got a notebook where I am jotting down ideas and I have to dig out a ledger book which I know I have somewhere to keep track of ingoings and outgoings. Plus a daily plan for what I will do.
I've also started paying for my shopping in cash instead of using my card. It forces me to stick to my budget and I have 2 money boxes at home where I will dump the change along with any cash I am lucky to find, save or receive. I'll take them to the bank when they are full and add to the total. Luckily my local branch has one of those sorting machines you can dump your change in.
I have a few ideas for the bigger money plan but I am still formulating them. I want to start implementing that plan in February or so. By then I should have the steady trickle of the little things going to keep my total going slowly upward.
OH is very supportive and he is getting involved too, he is does a couple of hours tutoring a week and is also applying to be an OU tutor, they have a few courses in his specialisation and it would work out around £240 per month after tax and NI for 4-5 hours a week on top of his regular wage. He has also been accepted to mark exam papers in the summer session.
We're going to do this!

You may be in a great position to get hold of text books ? I know for a fact current learning books of all types sell like hot cakes.
I was at a bootsale not so long ago and purchased a box full of nursing text books for £3.00.I made over £200.00......need I say anymore !;););)"Do not let what you can't do interfere with what you can do."0 -
Hi all, can I join please.
what a great thread, ive been reading for the past couple of days and have decided to go for it the full £10k, I don't have any money to start with but that won't stop me ive decided. I have just been through my flat with a big box picking up all the stuff I think can go on ebay and have had to go and get another box and two suitcases as there is so much stuff:eek: lets hope it all sells.
ive had some success previously with ebay but then get a bit bored and put off when something doesn't sell so think this thread will inspire me to get off my backside and 'keeeeeeep listing', it is also a bit of a shame now ebay don't allow you to charge postage for books/dvd/cd's not sure I understand why really think they should have just put a postage limit on it maybe - anyway i'm sure it will all add up or may try musicmagpie and green M instead.
I have also signed up for dooyoo and just rated some reviews, KEMO, LEANNET, SAVVYBUNNY AND DREAMER87 would be grateful if you could add me to your circle of friends im on as dollydealer, and if there is anyone else who would like me to rate them let me know. Ive only written one review at the minute but as I like to gabble on a bit i'm sure i'll get into it!! Rated a few others on there so they wouldn't get suspicious;).
Ive also joined some survey sites and already have a couple of quid there. Off now to do some comps and look at some crafty sites to get some other ideas - will post on here if I find any inspiration.
Good luck to everyone:TJanuary 7lb club member no. 27Start weight 2/1/10 = 15s 0lbs:eek:£100 into £10,000 member no 2120/£10000
