KarleyMarie i used to collect them up i know they used to be worth a fortune (wish i sold them then) anyway the only way i got rid was at the car boot for £2.00 tagged and 50p without. Not much to be made on them anymore i used to have one worth a £100 but sold it for a 10er a few years later!
  • Hi chaps

I've only just seen this thread but I'm up for giving it a go. I think I might have to aim rather lower than £10k as I work full time and I've also got a lot of fundraising to do for my local church this year, but anything is a start! I actually came on here looking for advice on where to sell second hand golf balls. Our house backs onto a course and there are always loads of them lost in the garden and hedges. I thought by collecting them and selling them on then not only could I make a few quid but also keep Britain tidy!
  • Okay I'm really inspired now, so thank you to Scrooge for co-opting me into the challenge, and also to Bingo for starting the thread. This weekend I shall pop back to the exhibition with my camera for some inspiration, and go trawling the street for materials on Chuck-out Tuesday (when people dump their unwanted things for the council to collect, but if you get there first you can take what you want).

That's a hell of a profit margin - what was it that you bought!?

It was a kiddies toy set, I'd picked it up at a local flea market and was hoping to get a tenner back so am well pleased

  • Kemo- I've added and rated you :)

Martin- this any good? http://www.amazon.co.uk/36-Assorted-Grade-Golf-Balls/dp/B000ZLZHB6/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=sports&qid=1262361138&sr=8-7 I don't know how much they weigh though, so watch out for that.
(I don't work for Amazon, promise :rotfl: I just find them really useful for ready made listings.)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

  • Hi spike

All joking aside it's a possibility I guess! They obviously can't be bothered to go get them. It's an expensive club. And judging by the amount of balls sitting on top of the frozen lake the players aren't much cop! However, I'm not so desperate for cash I'm going to go sliding out on the ice to retrieve them!
